I always try to seat a new tire without sealant first for exactly this reason. Might add a little soapy water to the bead, if necessary, but sealant goes in after the tire has seated.

The senator beat me to it, only add sealant after the bead is seated. And yea, soapy water helps a ton.

Most often I just use the soapy water solution and don’t even bother with fighting to get the bead set. Just over inflate and let it sit overnight. 9 times out of 10 the bead sets itself due to the pressure. At least in my experience that is. I’ve also lucked out and never required anything more than a floor pump.

Let some air out, add sealant, air up to desired psi and you’re golden.

I had the bead set with just air (removed the valve core to increase flow), then decided to add the sealant through the valve and insert the core. I think my mistake was not letting it sit long enough before deflating and adding the sealant. The bead broke when I added sealant and voila - the magic volcano.

MRI for my injury came back!

No surgery recommended. No real fractures to be concerned of. They're super minor. Just swelling so the suggestion is to take it easy and just keep stretching the muscles as previously recommended. woohoo! Hopefully I'll be back on the saddle soon enough!

Sold my Talon to a buddy of mine for cheap. Upgraded my hard tail (hopefully pick up tomorrow), almost went full suspension but I like the ride of the hard tail and I ride some very compact trails. I got into this way faster than expected lol thank you all.

I’ve debated heavily on buying an Intense Tazer MX expert 2021. Local dirt bike shop told me $5000 for it. So 1000 off plus no tax.

I'm going to have to fiddle with my derailleur, I'm getting that "tooth skipping" clunk when standing up pedaling. A real confidence killer. I'm hoping there's some truth to this article, seeing as how my bike is still new(ish)

The decoy is definitely best value ebike. All models feature same battery and newest motor is a huge plus then some of these companies putting outdated motors in their bikes at same price.

How often are you re-waxing? I'm ok with lubing my normal bike, but now im curious about this process for ebikes due to their nature of being harder on drivetrain components.

Not sure if this will change your plan but access to the top of TWE is difficult right now as the main road is closed for construction. Highest point the shuttles will take you is Hazard County I think.

Great to know! I’m honestly aiming for Hazard County down but if Burro is open I may take a shot at the whole thing.
