depends on where you are? i think colorado has a volunteer group that would recover you off road for free.

years ago my friend got their accord stuck in the snow near a 14er. it was $250 for a dually to come out and move us like 6 inches. they had more trouble getting out than we did lol.

Following is for Colorado a few years ago. I would assume Matt charges similar. Don't wheel alone.

If I recall Utah has a law which caps the amount which can be paid for a recovery. I heard that from a friend who broke his Dune Buggy deep in a canyon and the Tow Truck he called broke his truck trying to get to him. The Driver started he should have charged more but couldn’t because of state law. To be fair I wasn’t there when this happened.

Personally, as someone who spends a week a year off-reading in some rural parts of Utah I hope to never find-out!

I don't know. I do see him out quite a bit. There are always those who are convinced that a 2" shiny lift with color ordinated springs, a set of falken wild peaks, and a host of armor will magically make you able to ignore that effect rain has on red dirt or allow you to float over sand.

My guess is that the cost is based on the time spent on recovery. Some folks just need a quick gig, others take hours to get to and hours to get out.

I have a friend that's a VERY successful youtuber and I can tell you, based on his Subs, View counts and Content type (family friendly = higher CPMs), the man is making decent money on YouTube. A 400k view/month video is worth AT LEAST $3000 (likely more) if he is optimizing his Ad breaks.

He's doing about 3 videos a week. You do the math. Then remember there are legacy videos still making money as well.

Edit: to add, everything he does now becomes a write off. Everyone he pays, fuel, food, editing, hell even his Corvair build becomes a write off.

How can he get a little copies of his vehicle and no one makes a 3rd gen Tacoma model?

I have model of every car I’ve owned
    96 Chevy suburban
    95 geo metro
    2006 Nissan Altima
2014 Prius (best model as it’s a dealership demo and everything on the die cast works)
Why can’t I find a model of the Tacoma?

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
Back in the 90’s near Big Bear Lake, Ca, a local with an old Willy’s truck that had a engine PTO cable winch used to charge $500 for just going off the pavement, best recovery I saw was when he pulled a newer Toyota truck up out of a ravine that slid down into it along with a bunch of rocks. The owner reported it stolen, but someone saw him push his truck into the ravine and he had to eat the truck payments along with the recovery bill. Ha!

I'm pretty sure that's Mavericks and that Tacoma has no business being there.

Finally got a chance to watch the video. I'm guessing that was a heftier bill with the travel and personnel involved, never seen him give the whole family shirts before. Albeit they paid for them hahahaha
