so i finally tackled this install yesterday, and love the look of these UCA's!

first off, the Driver's side was a bitch.... in hindsight, i should have dropped the swaybar and the Remote Res brackets to allow more space to pry the fender pinch weld away. but even with the weld pulled back, the flat washer built onto the long bolt still wants to ride along the inner fender. took a little "motivation" to get it out and back in.

if you did things out of order like i did, worth it in the long run to partially break it back down in the interest of time and knuckle busting savings.

otherwise, install was as smooth as any UCA install video you've seen. had to drill out the ABS bracket holes one size larger to accommodate the bolt provided but that's ez stuff right there.

took about 1.5 hours start to finish, did it by myself

i chose to install these UCA's over the Icon DJ ones for a couple reasons.
    1. price $600 with labor day sale is hard to pass up, thanks @Ironman4x4America
    2. low maintenance - this is key for me, i never have to grease poly bushings or clean/lube the ball joint
    3. OEM ball joint... i mean, c'mon replacement is cheap and easy and will likely outlast the truck
    4. they're sexy (at 1/2 the price of billet arms)

conclusion, since i lifted the Pro ~2+inches, i needed UCA's. I think these should be given serious consideration if you are in the market.

    cheers

    JB

Do you happen to have the alignment specs you set for these?

What did you set them at as well as the size tire you are running for them I'm attempting to clear a 33.

I’m running the Kenda 33x10.50 on a zero offset wheel and didn’t have a problem clearing them before with stock uca’s and about a 1.5” lift. After the uca’s still no problem clearing but my alignment shop only put in about 1.5 degrees of caster I wanted them to get it between 3 and 3.5 I’ll probably take it another shop eventually if I want to go bigger tires but for now it’s fine.

Okay. I'll try and see if that will work then. Thanks for the reply. I too, am hoping my shop can set the caster to 3 degrees.
