What’s a sign of air in the master cylinder?

I was bleeding brakes and got all the way to the front passenger and nothing was coming out of the bleeder or the brake line.

 

could be a bad rubber line.

what have you done to the truck that youre now bleeding the brakes? new lines?

New calipers, new master, new booster.

Only the passenger side doesn’t have fluid coming out, no kinks in the hard line.

 

front one im guessing? i'd fill the res up and leave the bleeder open for 5-10 minutes and see if it starts dribbling out.

How hard should the brake pedal be to push down when the trucks off?

Mine feels like it has something blocking it until you put enough pressure on it to go over whatever it is

 

Just noticed one of my drivers leafs broke on my 96 4wd. It is the center leaf with the spring clip on it.
I replaced the OEM springs in 2013 for a set of Triangle springs which came recommended as factory replacements from Deaver. Truck is a west coast truck no rust.

Is this common on 1st gens? I’ve never heard of this issue.

Anyone know of a quality factory replacement?

 

Not normal at all. I think people recommend general spring these days? I can’t speak for their quality. I put new OEM ones under my fathers truck.. but $$$

 

I have 2 95.5 model 4x4s, both of which had one broken spring when I got them. Both were broken right in the center, at the axle.
On one, I bought new General Springs for both sides. Went with the OEM replacement variation, but wish I had gone up one step. I was adding a flatbed and thicker frame rails at the same time. The roughly extra 300lbs or so is a bit much for the OEM grade replacements from General.

For the other truck, I bought 1 replacement from O'Reillys. It was about $180, which was same as General cost since there was no shipping. That spring ride height matches the OEM still on the right side. The original spring on the right side has 269,000 miles on it and still seems fine.

I use these trucks mainly just for road duty, with only a little off road. Nothing more than mudholes, so take my experience in that context.

 

Any other suggestions other than a wheel bearing?

Vibrations change or disappear when turning right and get worse when turning left. There is 0 play at the wheel. Temperatures are within a couple degrees of each other at the spindle.
