I think I remember seeing a number of guys in here replacing the driver-side IFS front diff tube seal. I can't remember how many had to replace seals in the past few months.

I think I remember @eon_blue and @Kwikvette replacing seals recently.

I have to do the same for my z, lol. I am adamantly against putting any kind of aftermarket stereo in this thing, the stock one is such an 80’s vibe it’ll ruin the aesthetic if I put a new one.

I have to replace all the caps and stuff, it barely works and sounds like a washed out bathtub. I’ll probably solder an aux to the cassette points on the circuit board.

    What nissan do you have?

Yeah that’s too cool to replace with modern crap. Caps are at least easy to source too.

Just a 2007 frontier, owned it since 2008.

I haven't pulled the skid to see where my leak is coming from but I'm sure it's puking from around the seal again :violent:

I think one time I did the diff seal I had to replace it 2 additional times before it stopped leaking. Between cheap seals and installer error it was a sinking ship

This 01 4Runner isn't going to be fun. Had to dig the brake bleeder screw out of like an inch of mud/gear oil. I've determined it's likely not the brakes causing the shaking when braking. Only happens at high speed and when the suspension is loaded up.

Also pulled the ebrake at highway speeds. And while it barely slowed me down due to the blown axle seals, I didn't feel any shaking at all. When braking at lower speeds that don't load the suspension up I don't get the shaking. I've felt all the suspension and nothing is crazy loose but everything is blown out. Original suspension with 180K of mostly city/ranch miles. Lower shock bushings are gone, lower ball joints have some play, tie rods are gone.

"Do it yourself" they said. "It's easy and you'll learn stuff" they said.

    Mine's still peacefully seeping away.
