Yep, but feed from tow… TaaT module makes that a logical and slightly cleaner. Not something I want, but I get those who do. LOTS of discussion back then.

Ah I told @Zumozuzu7 but not you. I have an order for 400 relays approved but waiting to ship. Mouser is OOS. I recently sucked it up and bought 100 from waytek for significantly more money. They haven’t arrived yet.

but yeah, I’m behind on this stuff. Because headlight harness surge mostly.

One thing I really wish I could find is a skirted metri-pack 280 compatible relay with dual 87 outputs instead of 87A. I can’t find anything for that. Really wish I could. Because splitting 1x12 gauge to 2x12 gauge isn’t going to be clean. I could double crimp on 14 gauge with a 10 gauge terminal and see how it looks.

OK, we have relays but Waytek shorted me 30, geez. It's rough out there folks.

So with relays and terminals both received in today's UPS goody bag, that means I should be shipping @Zumozuzu7 and @tjb1 's stuff tomorrow (or Monday if I can't figure out how to get to USPS tomorrow since I'm on single dad duty.)

@Shadowhunter and @Empty_Lord I have H4 headlight harness as the focus once I get myself out of this hole of 15 headlight harnesses I have built and can't ship till I get those H9 connectors in. I have to do mine anyway (and probably will also do something custom for my SSC2 fog lights and the Sequoia stalk if I can figure all that out.)

Your truck should have the fog light wiring. All you’d need is a adapter from 9006 to the ssc2 connectors

The wiring for the truck should be complete from the dash to the fuse box to the lights. Just needs. Relay and switch

My truck already has fog lights, I just wanted to bypass ECU control, though maybe that happens before the stalk?

But, yeah, I could just cut and crimp on deutsch and be done with it.

I am planning to ditch the pushbutton switch if I can get the stalk working and use that and the blank for my seat heater switches.

But now we're doing Tundras talk on TW and that's not allowed right? :)

No ecu control. The fog circuit gets 12v on the high beam side of the headlight, when highs are on the fog switch has 0v which is why it turns off fogs. I put a 12v ignition power wire to my fog pin on the switch and now my fogs can be turned on whenever the key is on. Independent from the headlights

To add the switch it’s plug and play, you just need 2 pins to make the fogs work you’ll just have to add those 2 to whatever relay you use

corsa technic sells the pins that are needed

I have the Fog light harness from this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-foglight-upgrade-h11-not-led-or-hid.435419/that I’m not using anymore that probably has most of the bones you need. If you want it I can mail it to you for research purposes.

That's awfully nice of you but let me get stuff out the door to other people before I worry about soliciting donations to my FGT build :) Much appreciated though.

Given that I have relays now, the clock is running on your harness. No excuses left. Once I do receive H9's I'll have to make that first priority but I think you are next up after I get Zumo's out.

Speaking of which, time to look at that.

Hope it's okay to idea dump here.

I'm considering running a 2nd set of fogs. White and yellow.
I'm thinking a harness off the battery with relay tapped in to the low beams for the white fogs so they are on with low and high beams.
Yellow would be on the factory wiring, unavailable with high beams. This shouldn't be an issue since I can't imagine a situation needing high beams on in adverse weather.

    Thoughts on this setup welcome.

EDIT: remembering I have a switch pros, I guess I can just program a switch for the whites based on the lo beam trigger wire

I like it but if this is a Tacoma where do you plan to mount them?

The only downside I see is two pair of MAX costs a bunch of scratch. But it would rule to have both selective yellow and white. I like both for different (but similar) reasons.

Do the LOW beams in your Taco turn OFF when HI beams are selected?

I've never visually confirmed myself but I believe low beams remain on with high beams on 3rd gens... going to check now..

    EDIT: yes lows remain on

My original thought was trying to shove two sets of SSC2s in the factory location, until I compared the output to my current white SS3 pros.

Also consider flush mounting in the the valance cover or the chin spoiler.

I think the best spot would be here though with some fab work involved.

Added Fogs available after TAILS are selected with added switch for OFF. (Will stay ON if Light Stalk switch left in TAIL position and added switch ON)

We'll see, still have not settled on location. Pretty sure I'll end up with dual fog setup though :notsure:
