Still Friday, right?

I drove my stock 2017 Tacoma Limited from Taos NM to Amarillo TX today. Some of it was really twisty state highway. Some of it was Interstate.

I can do better on shorter local highway trips, but was really happy for it to be 25 through mountains, curves, small towns and open highway. It was actually 26 for a while but dipped with the cruise on 75-80.

Wait a limited driver is posting about mpg?! Seriously I feel like our bricks most efficient speed is 45-50.

 

I have been getting 24-25mpg on my 40 mile commute that includes hills.It seems to get the best at 70mph.

Have not done a manual calculation after a full tank to verify though.

 

Pretty happy with my MPG too..

 

Must be nice. Last I checked I was averaging 15mpg

I’m guessing all stock on highway terrian tires?

 

Yes Michelin Defenders and all stock. Just 2 people, a cooler and 9 days worth of luggage.

 

I think it is 55-60. There is a noticeable drop by 70.

 

I average like 16 mpg what the heck

 

I got 14 the other day flat-towing my VW Thing. It only weighs 2K LBS but has a lot of driveline resistance.

 

Sounds normal to me.
