Thanks for the info. Did you order the whole assembly or individual parts? I really only need the inner plastic and glass but don't know how much of a pain it'll be to take the old glass all off

 

These look sweet but unfortunately the inner plastic part was broken as well so it looks like I'll need to replace the whole assembly

 

Thanks, I may go this route to save a few bucks. I was hesitant to order non-oem without someone else chiming in on their experience. Thankfully I don't have BSM so I can save a little more even

 

Got my hood and side mirrors wrapped in Satin Black.

this is almost exactly what I am after. Do you have a write up? And a photo of it installed after painted? I have not seen anybody do this, and I don’t want to buy a full topper.

My repair was the exact same, the black plastic outside edge hit at the perfect location and shattered, thus leaving the glass itself broken as well as a good chunk of the mirror edge.

To top it off I had the BSM, heated mirrors and mirror turn signals.



Personally, I ended up buying the assembly, aside from the painted cap piece, or the side mirror turn signals as they were still in tact. Have no qualms with aftermarket, but for the price BAM was offering, I stuck with the OEM.

I agree. After living on the coast for many years and dealing with hurricanes help is greatly appreciated. Also I was in a bad accident years ago and had a few friends help me keep my yard mowed/edged/trimmed etc...for the entire summer. I learned who really was and wasn't a good friend. Will never forget and will always be indebted to those that helped me.

 

I am in need of real flaps and those look great. Where did you find them?

 

Thanks for the reply! I ended up ordering aftermarket from KarParts360 as they had the best price and a decent warranty. My outer cap somehow survived and my blacked out MESO turn signal only got a little white paint on it from the garage facia that should hopefully come out with some elbow grease

 

Not today but yesterday. Drove it for the first time since a bought it, sat at 12 miles for a week lmao. Took the dealership lettering off the tailgate, fabric guarded the interior and coated the bed plastics.

 

Got my truck back Friday. The dealership works with a place called Classic Soft Trim in Wilmington, MA. They installed an aftermarket moonroof. Most people wouldn't even know it wasn't oem, except maybe for the placement of the controls.

 

Wow! I wish my TRD OD access cab came with a moonroof like my 2001 did.
