Good morning all!
I'm a bachelor for a week! The wife left for the beach at 5am this morning with her girlfriends.
Just finished making breakfast...then head out for a little morning fishing. Then come back and mow grass, and then back out for some evening fishing

Lost three friends along with about 3000 others twenty years ago, I remember watching it unfold on the news that morning!! In shock!!

Sept 11th
I was at home watching the news when it all started. Called my dad and told him to turn on the TV. Then the 2nd plane hit.
Never been very good at sharing my feelings about this day.

9/11, I remember that morning vividly. Prayers for all those affected, and with all those who remember.

 

Can't believe how busy Old Hickory lake is this morning . I've seen over 30 outboard fishing boats in the last half hour racing up the main channel towards the lock / dam . I've also heard boats as early as 0500hrs this morning

 

What did you do Dave?!?

Well good morning folks. First off, thoughts and prayers to all those killed or wounded over the past years from the 911 attacks, and the subsequent wars and military operations.
Second, I sold the Toyota (not the camper). Deal I could not refuse. They paid me $30k for a truck I paid $26k for two years ago. In addition, got 3% less interest and reduced my overall cost of ownership about $10k. I can also now pull a trailer, buy a camper like @MTgirl, or trailer my race car to Austin Texas for my grandson. Finally, no more gear searching on the interstate that apparently had no fix from Toyota. Cruise control on that truck was unusable.
Third. I am tired.
Y'all be safe out there, Ford F250's are big and bulky.

Oh forgot. On 911 I was on duty at the PSD at Submarine Base Kings Bay Georgia. Watched the entire event unfold live on TV. We locked the door, and waited for further direction. Around noon or so, they closed the base and told us to go home.

Remember it like it was yesterday. Had gotten back from PSAB the Saturday before and was off. Was watching TV and saw the news as soon as the reports started coming on.....
