Screw Microsoft and Xbox!! (RANT)

Do you really intend to store much on the PS3? I have the 120GB and can't imagine using all that space. I download demo's but why would you need that many demo's at one time?

Also, the HDD is very easy to replace. And for about $20, you can swap it out with a 500GB drive. There is lots of info online about how to do it. And faster HDD's are available.

I don't pay for the Wii...I don't pay for the PS3...and I don't pay to play PC games online.

Why the hell would I give Microsoft $50/yr to use their service? How could it possibly be better than the free PS3 network?

And my PS3 doesn't risk getting the "circle of death" or whatever you call it when your xbox turns into a paperweight.

 

I have 4 of them. I had an old one that after several years got the ring of death and I fixed it myself in a couple of hours and it is good as new. Not one problem, not one call to support, sorry you have such issues. We use them for games, streaming video off of my Home Server, and streaming video from NetFlix. My 4 year old boy, soon to be 5, is the biggest gamer in the house. And the best too, well at Lego Batman. Can't wait unti lhe gets old enough to play the games I play. Guess we are the luckly ones with our XBoxes.

I wouldn't mind having a 3D PS3 though. The basketball game almost looked real on a 60" 3D screen.

 

Dispute the charge with credit card company tell them you were fraudulently charged for an xbox that you never bought.

 

Paperweight...haha yep that's pretty much sums up what my PS3 has become! And XBL is at least 50% better than that slow ass PSN and don't even get me started with the jankie wii and eventually all game systems are going to charge a fee for there networks. Yes XBL is that much better and then some! To each there own I guess!

 

my xbox is fine im still on my first and have yall been making sure to keep the exhaust fan clear of dust? if you set it up vertically and have it slightly elevated it wont do that.

 

Ya i have the xbox standing up so it can vent easier and keep the console clean.

I think only the 320gb is offered in the bundle pack. I am sure i wont need all the free space. unless i find a bundle pack with a smaller HD for a cheaper price then ill be getting the 320gb.

You can go into your console settings and set the xbox to automatically shut off after an hour or so of inactivity. I did burn all my games to the hard drive and then play the game off the hard drive to keep the console from over heating.

The consoles that I've had break on me weren't even heat related. the damn thing just stopped reading disks. games, dvds, whatever. it wouldnt even recognize that a disk was inserted. would just say open tray and close tray.

Either way. I returned the Kinect today and surprisingly got all my $163 back after buying it more than a month ago. So now I am just waiting for the shipping label from MS so i can send them back my Xbox. Theres my $400 right there. I'll be trading in two controllers, two headsets, a charger pack, and three games in.

Shoot,I still have my launch 360 and the sucker is like the energizer bunny.Keeps going and going.Have a Jasper version too and that one is still going.Guess I am lucky.

 

Shipped off my working console today to get the refund.

On another note, they returned my "tampered" console a couple weeks back to me and I never opened it up. Before I sent it back to them the console was able to still go to the dashboard and stream net flix. I went to hook it back up today so I can still watch movies while waiting for the refund to get the PS3 but now it says there is an E49 error. I googled it and on the xbox.com forums its been talked about how Microsoft pretty much kills the consoles that are suspected of being tampered with.

So MS messed up my previous console even more than it was.

FUCK MICROSOFT!

 

Since Google and Apple are taking over the world, I wonder if they'll jump into the gaming industry with consoles that kill both Sony and Microsoft.

On topic...that really sucks they are screwing you over like that.

 

I'm on my second 360, both bought used from the same place. The first one got the RROD after I had it for 3 weeks, took it back and the store swapped it out no questions asked. Second console got the RROD so I searched for the code and turned out I had a bad hard drive, which I'm guessing also caused the RROD on the first console. Took it back and they swapped hard drives with me. Where I got my 360 they told me if anything ever goes wrong with it to just bring it back and they will repair/swap it out for me.

Where I'm currently living Gears of War 2 online doesn't work, not sure why. Probably juts need to open a port for it.

I love my Xbox. Can't wait for Gears of War 3!
