I couldn't decide between the 911 and the Countach mocs and so I just ended up doing both. I really like how both sets came out!

I kept forgetting to post that Costco has the new advent sets now, too. Thanks for the reminder  I think it was only $25 there? I very well could be wrong and have paid $30 or $35, I’m pretty damn sure I didn’t pay full Lego store price though.

So I recently undertook the project to inventory the many many lego sets the kids have been fortunate to receive in their short lives thus far…

We still have almost all the boxes and directions, but pieces and parts have been scattered and we recently moved. Plus, there was a mystery bin of sorts, several sets my wife bought from another mom, in total disarray, with a pile of instructions.

A couple weeks of painstaking work later, I can tell you that my eyes are bloodshot, my left thumb tip is killing me from taking pieces apart, and every set has at least a couple missing pieces.

Luckily I’ve been through this before with selling some sets from childhood. There’s a fantastic site called brick link where you can source any new or used lego piece and complete sets. Wanted to give my kids the opportunity to relieve putting the sets together once. After that…I will never, ever do this again. My eyes are permanently crossed now.

Couldn’t do it…you can buy a single piece from these people, can’t imagine having to find ship and package that one 10 cent piece…

It’s a royal pita... Have over 50k bricks in inventory and another 200 lbs I am working on listing. I have a $5.00 minimum so it’s usually pulling 30+ .10 pieces and one 2.00 brick... like this.

Just found out you can download ALL your orders (not what you ordered but the totals for parts, tax, shipping, other charges…) including the purged ones….

I :eek:ed when I saw the total for all the S&H charges I’ve paid over the years..

Thanks for providing the service though. Super cool service

Well, I appreciate people who do it because it allows me to complete these old sets, and the new ones with missing pieces so my kids can re-enjoy. I’ll be ordering something like 100+ pieces. Coolest thing about Brick Link is how it will find the smallest number of vendors possible to fill the order, thus saving on shipping.

While we’re on the subject (& pardon if I’ve asked before)…. any suggestions if when using the auto buy feature from a single want list and bricklink returns over 100% of the items your looking for?

    TIA :hattip:
