Looks like a good place for a hobbsquatch

 

Well, looks like I didn’t have enough signal to send the pic . While I was off searching for @Hobbs i was also trying to find an old elevated roadway from about 1915 that used to be in this part of the swamp. There is an old piviot bridge that’s still in the main channel that was part of it, I’m sure some of the road pilings are out here too. I didn’t find them because a couple of good ol boys laid claim to the slough we were in and got loud when I asked if I could paddle past them. Oh, well, I know I was in the area, I’ll go back some other time and continue this adventure.

I see Hobbs showed up while I was out searching for him, glad you’re safe.

Just a couple of yahoos who were fishing. I watched them cast for about five minutes without landing anything and then asked if I could paddle past them. They started complaining and making noise so I just backed out. It wasn’t worth a fight.
