DRL harness for SR

I make the same thing, i just bought a SR headlights and my tacoma is TRD!! They doesn’t fit, if you want we can make a deal with your and my headlights

I already did the damn swap. And connected the amber/turn signal wires to the L shape DRLs. And I’m still get a amber DRL. I’m confused. Any suggestions??

Swap to a set of TRD headlights to my SR , just found out that the wire that powers turn signal is also a DRL. My use is that the amber lights are still turning on when set to DRL and is causing to overheat my resistors for led bulbs.

 

You have a few choices, turn the DRL feature OFF via the Head Unit.


Or tap the rear turn signals instead. The wires are in the engine bay fuse/relay box - connector EB1. @Puppypunter makes a T harness so you don't cut the vehicle wires.

He also has a module that separates the DRL from the Signal.
PM him.

 

I am on my way to test V2 that will no longer need to tap the rears as well. This should allow the Turns to be used without resistors or swapping to LEDs. (If you still swap the turn bulbs to LED, you will still need the resistor, but if you use the halogens, you should not).

Have you verified the function now? The white DRL would always OFF now.

 

Well I turn off the DRLs to off. And the amber drl is gone but the L shape DRLs or turning on. So it’s working how I wanted it too.
