What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

The Pro on my badges on the doors are red, and the Pro on my floormats on red, so I decided to make the Pro on my tailgate red as well. I know, huge mod.

 

Put my new decals on the tailgate. I like the old school flavor on some things.

 

That's bad ass.

 

I did the old school look as well. I had some similar stickers on my Jeep back when I had it. I would put something like that on my Taco but it's black and I really don't like the look of white decals on the paint. I do have a few stickers on the back window though

 

Going to install ICON spring pack next week. I’m looking for a little more height in the back when unloaded and more support for those times when carrying a RTT, dogs, gear etc. it just seems to sag a bit. I’m going to leave the Fox shocks that came with my Pro Model for the time being. I think I’ll start with Option one below and then consider whether I need to move up. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

 

I've heard less than stellar things about ICON suspension. Issues with leaking, wrong parts and poor service. I would look at other options including Kings, ELKA and better FOX before nailing down an option. Also, you can send your old Fox shocks to me and I'll gladly dispose of them

 

Did these yesterday:

1. Put on the R4T lower control arm skids plates. I was expecting this to be more of a headache than it was (knowing my dumb redneck luck). But for once, it really was a simple, straight forward install.



2. Add these new bed tie downs from @602runner. Really easy to switch out.

And today, gave her a quick wash to knock the dirt off after it barely rained earlier this week.

Changed the oil (Mobile 1) and filter today plus greased the front zerk fittings. Tire rotation tomorrow.....hopefully. Sorry but not picture worthy.

 

I did that once to the mirror on my work truck, except on a hitchhikers hand. Always, I mean never stick out your big thumb without looking, especially on a narrow road.

Oh yeah. Swollen up like a cartoon balloon glove. We went back to give him a "hand", but he wanted nothing to do with us. I am pretty sure he was a drug mule.

 

Seat jackers. SUPER easy. Only took about 10 minutes.

 

Thought I would share this. A local guy, in Southeast Virginia, has a brand new non-scoop 2021 Quicksand hood on facebook for $150. He told me he would take $120 for it. A deal for somebody.

 

$120??? If it were in my paint color I'd buy it and throw it the garage for "just-in-cases."
