The Baja Designs Yellow is super useful and very clean.

Yellow is most useful in actual poor weather conditions. Note that Baja causes major confusion by incorrectly calling yellow products amber. There are very few real amber fog options, including KC G4 amber and Morimoto amber, both are very low performing, lower output than stock and not recommended. High color temps like 5000-6000k are highly reflective, meaning they reflect off of precipitation making you see the precipitation in the air and not the roadway beyond it. They are counter productive for actual poor weather use. For fog performance the best options will be selective yellow, halogen, or 4000k (offered by Diode Dynamics). Note that while some recommend Baja, their SAE fogs are among the lowest output intensity on the market and the Squadrons have no cut offs, are not a fog light at all and not safe to use on the street. Replacement LEDs in the OEM halogen assemblies should not be used, they cause irregular pattern, glare and are far lower performing than a replacement SAE LED assembly. All the data and reviews for SAE fogs is linked in the thread posted earlier.

Bout time @crashnburn80 , if you had to pick the set-up for fog lights, what would @crashnburn80 do?

Swapped out white halogen bulbs for yellow LED bulbs. Crazy bright. Very happy with them. The color matches my BD Squadron Pros.

SS3 Max in Selective Yellow is what I run. They are the highest output intensity yellow fogs on the market with better cut offs than the Pros and also run the hottest so that snow/ice is not a concern. I’ve clocked them at about 212 degrees F. Personally the only other one I would consider is the SS3 Pros in selective yellow. Sports will not generate enough heat to clear snow and no other fogs on the market currently can match the performance of the SS3s.

Bright isn’t the same as blinding. They look bright because of all the blinding glare to oncoming drivers. An actual SAE LED assembly like the SS3s are far brighter in output intensity while actually having the correct beam pattern and not blinding oncoming drivers. Replacement LEDs in halogen assemblies don’t work, especially open bucket reflectors, this is well documented and the US has forced a recall on all manufactures that claim otherwise. Only fogs are not regulated at the federal level, so some manufactures continue to sell those ill advised products. Anyone that tells you otherwise is not interested in the science and just looking to make a buck off you.

I intend to swap my OEM fogs for yellows, probably SS3s, before this winter hits. I've read enough about their performance in snow that I'm sold.

Might end up with some yellow ditch lights at some point too.... Might.

White fogs shouldn't be labeled "fogs." Useless in a snow storm.

Note that doesn’t actually produce yellow output, it produces greenish output. Yellow films are designed for a ~3200k halogen light source. Yellow + warm white = yellow. Yellow + 6000k LED cool white/blue = green and does not actually fall in the legal chromaticity window for yellow.

About as lame as your post. Seriously though, why even post anything? It's obvious you don't care to offer up any kind of "science based" opinion...pictures, maybe how 'diode dynamics' is gospel, beam pattern, etc. Something, anything to help the original poster of the thread. NOPE. You're just going to be a D.

Up here in the Great White North ( Western Canada) when you have a whiteout due to never ending snow and can't see 10 yards in front of you...I'm sure they will help...I'm aware that true yellow calls for yellow lenses...specially glass
