I have 2 95.5 model 4x4s, both of which had one broken spring when I got them. Both were broken right in the center, at the axle.
On one, I bought new General Springs for both sides. Went with the OEM replacement variation, but wish I had gone up one step. I was adding a flatbed and thicker frame rails at the same time. The roughly extra 300lbs or so is a bit much for the OEM grade replacements from General.

For the other truck, I bought 1 replacement from O'Reillys. It was about $180, which was same as General cost since there was no shipping. That spring ride height matches the OEM still on the right side. The original spring on the right side has 269,000 miles on it and still seems fine.

I use these trucks mainly just for road duty, with only a little off road. Nothing more than mudholes, so take my experience in that context.

Any other suggestions other than a wheel bearing?

Vibrations change or disappear when turning right and get worse when turning left. There is 0 play at the wheel. Temperatures are within a couple degrees of each other at the spindle.

Actually on the early years (95-97) I think it's kind of common. The leaf springs are short so they "bend" more overall. I've broken many leaf spring on my 97 and my 95 has broken springs that are stock replacements.

Honestly have you check your lugs? I've had weird shit like this happen only for it to be a loose wheel. Especially since you just got new tires.

I had the similar on my wife's Corolla. Jacked it up, pulled/pushed the tire to check ball joints and bearing. All seemed good till I went to take the wheel, off a few of the lugs were barely hand tight.

Coilovers, sway bars, wheels, tires, extended studs, intake, head and taillights, seats, short shifter,
Vacuum bag for carbon skinning? When I make fenders or other standalone carbon parts, most definitely. I thought of it for this, but it honestly isn't worth the hassle.

14 inch Magnaflow turned down at the rear axle.

    Nice relatively subtle sound change.

I think I would have noticed play in the wheel when I grabbed it to feel for play but I'll double check.

No difference. It feels pretty bad but the fact that I can't pin point it with a thermal gun is making me think it's not that bad.

    can't hurt to check.

i'd also check the rear bearings. I thought mine bearing roars were the front and turned out to be the rears. Just weird how the sounds carried through the frame.

    On another note...

    Found this today...

Granted that is bad but the real damage was the perch..

So looks like I get to fully pull the engine and do some welding.

At least I'll get to touch up my bad welds on the back of my coil buckets.

Pretty bummed. Down for the count.

I’ve got ditches, they’re just pointed to the side of the truck more often than not.

like they’re supposed to be I guess.
