Its amazing to me all that comes standard these days. Aside from the $230 remote key entry.
Funny, the 2 main SR packages removes options, rather than add them. .
The SR's available in my area last month had options removed / work trucks. And were all 4 cyl.

If I could find a SR V6 with the $840 SX package I would buy one.
But at that point its about the same price as an SR5.(around $1800 less)
And not a lot of SR'S are made with those 2 options.

Mine has those. They are part of the technology package which came stock on my SR5

This is exactly what I am doing with my 2021 SR5. Slowly converting it into a pro model that doesn't have the things I didn't care for. Ex) rear locking differential (I don't offroad), leather seats (x2 100lb German shepherds) and a moon roof (why is this a thing in trucks..). I originally wanted a sport but I got talked into an SR5 for like $6000 less OTD and it had the stuff I wanted.

The biggest issue I'm having with making an "SR5 Pro" is upgrading halogen headlights into LED headlights. But thanks to @Puppypunter, I can now do this after the holidays with his conversion harness

No brainer if you’re not towing/hauling or off roading and want decent gas mileage.

I’m getting20- 23 around town and 27-29 on the freeway, but I drive like a grandma because I know it’s pointless to drive fast in a 2.7. 39psi
thinking about getting a bumper sticker that reads; (“I’m sorry for driving too close in front of you”)
Was reading somewhere that you use 27% more fuel at 75 mph as opposed to 65 mph in trucks. Don’t know if it’s true. Doing the math, that’s an extra $2000 a year in wasted gas/$ in my case.. IMO
These trucks can do anything you need them to. Get what suits your needs the best. The newest SR come with a lot of stuff that were options or not available early on in the 3rd generation. ALOT!

Also, I live where they use a lot of salt and sand in the winters and I didn’t want the fender covers because that is just another place to trap that stuff.

Agree, bought a new SR5 4x4 in 1985. It would be considered stripped compared to the base SR.

Idk, bought a 2001 tundra sr5. Except for all the bs electronics in the 2020 sr5, its pretty much the same truck. I do like the tacoma's power driver seat, something the tundra didn't have.

you know I am still waiting. 235 days since ordered/pre ordered. The 95 t100 still runs great.
Am thinking about getting my $500 dep. back. And telling them to just keep their new truck.

I had 4 days left to go before moving 1800 miles out of a no sales tax state, after waiting 3 months…after putting down my $500 last year. On a whim I checked a different local dealership site. Idk if it was karma but the exact truck I had been waiting on was posted and I called the dealer. They said they literally posted it 5 minutes prior. I gave them $500 over the phone and told them to hold it for 2 days until I was off.. the original dealer added another month wait to me, so I told them my situation and they refunded my money. It worked out in the nick of time. Shop your options, you might find what you’re looking for. There happened to be 7 Toyota dealerships with about 50-70 miles of each other in the Portland metro area. I just kept on checking.
