Well, hopefully next year they will be cheaper. Iron ore prices tanked last week.

This has me thinking a bit. With all the wealth of knowledge from all the members on this thread, what do you all think about getting a list of businesses and supplies that most of us would use for parts/lube/tires & chains/ etc? @Steve Urquell @six5crèéd @koditten @RustyGreen @T-yoda

It'd be cool. I wonder if it can be added to the thread as a pinned sub-thread/sub-heading?

We could link it in the OP first post or just add links to first post?

Took the plunge and grabbed a tach/maintanance minder.

Seems pretty accurate. Shows 1050@idle and 3200ish at max rpm.

I like how it counts down the hours until the next oil change. I set it to 25 hours.i just stuck it to the control panel with adhesive backed Velcro.

Chains are not cheap. I know, as I have the aggressive euro-chains. But.... think how much money we have invested in the tractor, plus all the attachments and implements. If the tractor can't move, it's all for naught!

Great idea, we can add it to the first post no problem

Once we get several I can add them or Chris can either one, doesn’t matter to me.

I get a lot of mower/small engine parts here. https://www.partstree.com/

If nothing else I look up what I need and call the local mower place and see if they have it in stock and how much, if it’s close with shipping cost I just go grab it.

Got my Gravely ZT-XL 52 back last week. They completely re-did the seat hinge bar with bushings and pins.

Parking brake doesn't stick any more. BUT It comes on randomly while mowing now...................SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any good sources on matching a tractor/mower to your needs?

Do I really need JD X500 or is a 200 or X300 better for me, kind of thing... What deck size is best suited for my yard?

What about capabilities/limitations like mentioned in the last few pages, sure it can attach a snow blower but can you really blow snow with it or is it going to struggle?

I know someone could just ask, but I am sure yall would get tired of answering the same questions. Is there a blog or anything that yall recommend?

I am finding out real fast that this stuff is way more expensive than I originally thought. $20k for the tiniest lawn tractor capable of attaching a little bucket and 3-point is crazy. $30-60k for a compact with implements...

    I was imagining $10-15k for a sub-compact, $20-30k for a compact, and like $3k for a really nice mower.
