It's good and bad.

Hate that I deal with it daily, but at least I'm in practice.

A couple of years ago I towed the camper straight up the 405 in the middle of L.A. to visit some friends. If I wasn't accustomed to heavy traffic, that drive would have gone very differently.


Side note, few things are worse than Houston. Traffic once got so backed up on the way home, people got out and started tossing a football.





Then there was Luanda, Angola. I promised myself that I would never complain about traffic again after that. I usually got out and walked home after giving my driver instructions to leave the keys in the mail slot after he parked the car. Most nights he usually rang my doorbell three hours after I got home.

On my way home one trip....I kept taking the wrong exit, again and again! I began to feel like a turd swirling down a toilet!

Nah. It's fairly easy. Just assume that nobody sees you and plot a course that stays clear of their dumbfuckery.

 

I've been spur of the moment thinking of buying a little smaller one. I'm not sure if the buying frenzy is over or not though. Been thinking when I'm done working full time I could hit a couple of shutdowns a year and stay in a camper for 5 weeks.

 

Sanding is for the damn birds. Painting on varnish is fun though.

We like this Topas place near Walnut, & a few others that we frequent.. hard not to find a place to eat over there
