:jellydance: Since I took a low fence axis last year on our lease, blackbuck is next on the list! Although not near as likely to happen

I dread checking cameras next week…..land owner came up from Georgia today, one of our 3 cameras sends photos, got pictures of him. Sent it to him. He said “you may have to delete some pictures off your other camera, had to relieve myself and didn’t see the camera until I was standing in front of it”

Went out and hunted hard saturday. No elk. Found a few watering holes I'll go back to later and check on. Went out sunday and monday for deer. Probably looked over 30 bucks and the biggest one I saw was an average 3x3 with a few does in the middle of a field. Figured id put a stalk on him and see how I felt when I got in range. Last 10 minutes of light. Ended up skylining myself at 360 yrds and they saw me. Sat for a minute trying to figure out what to do. Absolutely no cover and no terrain between us lol. Put my bow above my head and used the skyline to my advantage and walked straight at them for 250 yards. Even got them to walk towards me for a minute. Ended up spooking them at around 100 yards. No deer this weekend.

Ended up shooting a porcupine. Wifes saving the quills and claws and is gonna make some family members some necklaces.

Also was driving down some roads a couple mornings ago and found this guy laying in the ditch D078CAA0-5982-4238-A3A8-BE89F6C675A4.jpg
Picked up a salvage permit and was able to bring his head home.82D7F28A-A614-4562-9371-E5E9AFB03D85.jpg
Saw this guy ~2 weeks ago and thought it would be cool too see him get harvested. Ended up getting hit by a truck going pretty fast. Skinned out his head and it’s all shattered.

This farm is across from my parents, I grew up hunting there and hunted there until about 5 years ago, my wife and I killed some big bucks off of it. We quit because there got to be too many people hunting it.

The land owners recently moved back here from New York and would let anyone hunt if they knew them. This first picture is what it looked like until about 3 weeks ago. I drew the road in yellow, yeah it was that thick.

    F1DEA217-1F3C-4295-91FC-403F1CC1F1FE.jpg

We went in there today, the green is the fields you can see in the top picture, we called the big field the L shaped field for obvious reasons. That’s where we shot all the big deer.

I took all these photos today from the road. They are nowhere near done
