New skids are installed RCI engine, transmission and transfer case, plus rear diff. All Pro gas tank skid! Now I’m ready to hit the trails

 

That truck looks brand new

 

It would be a shame to go through all the mud and scratch the metal

 

Fully stuff the left rear tire and make sure the RCI diff diaper clamp doesn't dig into the fuel tank. Better to check now than 2 hours' drive from civilization.

 

Is that a thing? Never knew the diff skid could make contact. I’ll check tomorrow. Thanks!

 

2020 with 16,000 kms on it. It’s been through one winter already. I have it sprayed at Krown annually.

That is a good idea for peace of mind.

Perhaps you should consider cutting larger holes in the rear diff. plate for better drainage and also to be able to clean out stones debris etc. it seems like this would be a spot where stuff would build up.

Your undercarriage looks amazing keep up the regular treatments.

If the rebuild attempt is unsuccessful, Aisin sells the same damn part for less than 1/3 what Toyota is charging. Rock Auto says the P/N is SAT008.

I wish I knew about the reroute and purchased the flat plate instead. This skid was already on order at the time
