I got fancy zippered waders (when I wear them) and Clear Creek is hardly deep. Barley also uses the Creek as needed. :burp:

Yesterday I revisited a small creek I first explored last year without wading gear. This time I wet waded and that allowed me to fish way more spots and I covered more ground. Last time, all I found were small brook. This time, I found brook and rainbows. Some of those rainbows were pushing 10"... made me wish I brought the 3wt as they were a handful on the 1wt. It was fun until storms rolled into the area in early afternoon and rained and hailed on me.

A 1wt, huh? What make of rod are you using? I usually fish with a 2wt Syndicate.

Took my Watermaster out yesterday. Didn’t have any luck dragging streamers so I hit the inlet stream. Wore out a couple flies in the stream. Pretty good afternoon.

Pulled a few of these out at RMNP this morning. Hiked in with the wife, sat in the shade and read a book, ate a picnic lunch, watched my fly disappear more than I used the net. Still another great day out above 9000. Burn scar out there is not pretty but I'm excited for the upcoming fall there. Elk seem to be coming in already at Moraine..... This was the only one she was nearby with the phone....

Spent yesterday afternoon on a new-to-me creek. Apparently I've been spoiled by the other bluelines I've fished because this one did not have fish in every obvious spot, and I had to do some quick studying to figure them out. I picked a creek that has both cutthroat and brook; something I have not experienced. Turns out I caught more cutthroat than brook, which surprised me. It was a tough bluelining from all the downed deadfall and the rocks in the creek were as smooth and slippery as I've ever experienced. I was wet wading and did slip into a plunge pool up to mid-thigh... thank goodness no higher since the water was cold! No twig-n-berries were harmed that day.

One of the prettiest cutthroat, largest brook and last of the day, and a shot of the beautiful creek and woods:

Killed some time on a small creek I've driven by countless times but never fished until today. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the fishing was. The browns dominated, but I did find a couple of rainbows.

pulled a few out of here this week, alpine lakes are fun though they seem to run hot or cold (also hit snow lake above but no luck there)

Life got in the way of hiking to an alpine lake today, but I had time to hit up a small creek. Pulled a brown, brook, and rainbow out of the same spot... that's a new one for me.

Almost got one on the blue in Frisco last weekend. My dad was taking a break and gave me his setup. I swapped to a shrimp and a midge. Trying this spot for like 30 min and finally get one on the hook. My gf walks up as I'm reeling it in and got a short video. Fish came off the hook as I was figuring out how to take the net off my dad's pack. Oh well
