    I wish I had started all this in an IRA instead of a tax the shit out of me account...
    Now I move the max to an IRA each year ($6,000) and try to get some tax free returns for the next 20 years. I need $GME to moon so the 5 shares in the IRA can start giving me some $$$ Also have $GTii in that account so I'm sure fidelity thinks I'm a moron

    Im all for electric once the charging stations are fast enough and numerous enough.

    Right now, gassing up in 5min vs charging for 30 to hours matters, esp. in rural areas or long hauls. But cheaper fuel along with WAY less maintenance has appeal.

    It was funny listening to him justify it as an alternative to gas...
    I'm like "You paid $30,000 more a luxury car"
    so we got into our annual discussion about charging, and KwHours costs at home vs the road...Oh and he road tripped up from florida so I said "when my truck runs low on gas I take 15 min to put 20 gallons in and I'm off...how many stops do you make to charge that take longer than 15 min ;)"
    I had a post on here I where I did the math on a tacoma vs tesla and the real cost of ownership vs gas/charging $$ per mile only equals out at about year 8....and by that time you're replacing batteries and resetting that $$$...

    I'm out of TECH right now...The run up was nice but it's going to take the first shot on the chin the second the market sours...I'm holding cash through october right now I think...I still think $AMD could retreat to the mid $90's again especially if support of the tech sector gets kneecapped

    Oh I'm sure TD thinks I'm a moron, then I go opening a "fun" account and they're probably looking at that thinking I'm actively trying to lose money
    I could justify having an electric car if it was my second vehicle. I need the truck to haul, camp, road trips, etc. It would be nice to have an electric car for the city which 95% of my driving is.

    Need a little investing advice. I know...I'm asking TacomaWorld :anonymous:

    I'm in my 50's and looking to retire between 62 and 65. I max out my 401K and its returned about 17% over the past 5 years. My 401K plan has limited choices and Bonds are paying almost nothing. So I have my 401K is in 2 funds. 1 Large Cap Growth and 1 S&P500 index fund .69 and .02 expense ratios. I know I'm 100% in equities and I'm fine with that risk with 5+ years to go. With my 401K maxed out I want to invest in other mutual funds.
    Probably again 100% in equities. I like VGT and QQQ. So my question is. What is the most cost effective or best way to invest in these or similar funds? Open a Vanguard or Invesco account? Or is another way better? The last thing I want is to pay a broker fee on top of expense ratios.
