That is way off. I thought it just wasn’t aligned correctly but if you reference the bottom edge, it is aligned decently. So yeah cut wrong by quite a bit.

Thanks for pointing out the build issues, hopefully the mis-alignment causes you no issues.
Curious how the zipper detached, was there a zipper stop missing or?

Starting to make a list of areas to check at pickup: zipper stops, extrusion alignment, check. Anything else to consider?

No major issues from the extrusions. Their hardware for the awning brackets they make just don’t fit where the cuts are off. The zipper chain slipped out of the seam. Check your canvas for any holes or wear points.

There's nothing "wrong" with the extrusions. It seems that there is a QC issue between the CNC produced end pieces that attach to the extrusion where the larger hole/slot doesn't line up with the extrusion slot.

This is on SuperPacific to figure out between suppliers, adjust engineering diagrams, and QC.

Yea I’m sure they’ll keep an eye on it now. They said it wasn’t part of their inspection steps before.

Cross bars are on. I was looking for ones that sit very low and they sure do!

Those are made by Alu-Cab. Length is 1450mm with low profile mounting feet kit.

Yeah, exactly. I could try to mitigate the issue but unsure which part of the strut is causing the damage. Maybe the mounting bracket.

Loving the camper overall, but wish I could store more bedding up there. Thoughts on feasibility of adding another extrusion, to just have more space up? Probably not worth it, I know. My old Baroud RTT could close with sheets, 2 blankets, 2 sleeping bags, 2 pillows, etc ...

I'm getting old anyway, it will only be a couple more years of being ok with the acrobatics of getting in and out through the tailgate.

Yeah, loving those side windows. Wanderlust is near me, but I think I may DIY them.
Anyone have a link to a supplier they like for these?

I'm not sure how you could add another extrusion without a complete camper disassembly (or a new hinge design). From a bedding perspective - down usually has pretty good compressibility so maybe it's worth considering a down comforter/sleeping bag etc vs synthetic.

Yeah, for sure would need disassembly, but I was thinking hinge could be moved up to top 2 "layers", and a 90deg angle added to bottom. Not worth the engineering I guess. I sleep pretty cold, and I'm planning on some more winter trips. I'd just like to cut down on the setup and teardown of the bedding side. Extra storage up top would free up some bed space below.

Probably better to just figure out a better low profile set of layers, and get a diesel heater setup instead.

For some reason I thought you had gone with another color. A lighter one. Looks good.

I went with the gray. Looks black in that pic, but in most light, it's only slightly darker than silver.

Anybody going to Overland Expo West from the So Cal area? If so, are you planning to camp on the way along Route 40, and if so where? I guess I'll take camping suggestions whether you're going or not... alternate routes, backroad routes, must see attractions, etc. I usually stick to the coast and the Sierras, so I'm not familiar with that route. Thanks.

EDIT: The expo is in Flagstaff btw.
