My wife and I rode 401 from the trailhead up near Gothic. 14 miles, 2200’, 2-1/2 hrs riding time (we’re, uh, senior citizens). No shuttle required. If you wanted to shuttle from town I think you’d need to ride a fair amount of road to return, even to the mountain. Doesn’t seem worth it to me. But I’m not from the area and only been there once, so take it with a grain of salt. And I’ve ridden those other places with no shuttle either, though not TWE.

I will likely be in Moab the 23-2?. I could potentially meet up for a ride/beer at TH. I'm mostly there as shuttle driver and baby sister since my wife just got cleared to bike again (and I owe her many rides).

Rode a the new e-Bronson last week on Boost. Not being dramatic but I was pumping going uphill and actively braking around climbing switchbacks. It was so much fun!

How often you use that gas tank?

Have any of you guys and gals ever used The Pro's Closet for selling or buying a bike? If so, I'd love to hear any and all feedback. Thanks!

I use it on longer trips like Death Valley, Mohave Road, Arizona Peace Trail, to name a few. I've also used it to bail out others and to fill my buddy's generator when we bring our e-bikes for a multiple day ride. ;-)

It's like a hit of crack.

I am finishing the in bed rack this week though because loading up 2 E's on a tailgate pad is tough, ill blow an o-ring out eventually.

With that being said It has transcended mountain biking - it's an entire different activity. More akin to a dirtbike than a mountain bike now

and both sports are extremely fun!

However I would like an E-Bike, I may really have a hard decision between that and another KTM/Husqvarna. E-Bike vs Dirt Bike comes down to location and riding spots where you live.

GNCC is now doing E-Bike races which is pretty cool.

I agree it is fun. But I'm still bitter about these years of mountain biking in order to reach these remote locations but now have an old guy not only-
    • 1. Reach these locations
    • 2. Now beat me up there!

I'd get the e-bike. Not exactly sure where you live, but just the logistics of going for a ride for any type of regular/E-bike is way easier than a dirtbike

there was a guy with an e bike that posted on our local fb page. he was offering his bike as a shuttle for anyone that wanted to meet him at the trail head. said he was doing laps and could meet between if someone showed late. idk how it would work if like 3 or 4 people showed up expecting a tow

I've ridden with people that don't blast by me on E-Bikes, some that just need it to keep up due to physical disability, etc... You live in Knoxville and have a bigger MTB seen so I imagine it's more bothersome for you.

I agree, packing an E-Bike for a ride is a split second decision, loading the dirt bike is planning days out.

First come first serve, however I must say that's awesome.

I've seen people tow on an E-bike, but at most 2 people with one of them being a kid.

I have yet to find even the most ardent E-hater to have any issue with this particular scenario.
