How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

I had kept a page open on my phone with the dealers Tacoma inventory. When the temporary VIN no longer worked, I went to that page. When it refreshed, the inventory went up by one, and there was a truck spec-ed just like mine as well as price and said “in transit”. Now, I’m assuming it will probably still be a couple of days until it’s actually in transit. So I’ll wait and call on Wednesday. But I can’t stand it already!!!!

 

I expect pictures. Congrats, Brother! Seems like it was a pretty short wait!

That blackout on white will always be a classic for a reason.

This furthers my suspicion that all Double Cab Long Beds are only being made in Baja. Unless someone can *hopefully* prove me otherwise.

 

Man the angle on that last shot really makes the bed look long! Or was it a wider angle lens?

 

Copy/Paste from my Broker this AM:

"Hey boss! No updates yet, won't be assigned a temporary VIN until we are given an allocation for a build. Most likely won't receive that for 2-4 months at the current production rate. But you also didn't order a premium package which could expedite your build time."

Time to settle in the for the long haul boys. The price I pay for Army Green and a long bed is that of time. My assumption is I'll probably be allocated a 2022 once that finally starts up. Or I might get REALLY lucky and be able to get a 2021 that's in production. Not holding my breath.

Order date: Sep 3rd.

 

Wonder when they’ll update the website with the 22’s. Looks like the builder for the 21’s went live on September 9th

 

Rumor on this thread has been its been pushed back to some time in Oct/Nov. Good eye though finding the 2021s on Sep.9th. It's still the wild west, but some reference is better than no reference

 

Went backpacking over Labor Day weekend, and returned to find out my salesman is leaving the dealership within weeks of my delivery date.

Got a little freaked out since I’ve been waiting about 5 months and wanted to make sure all was good. But talked to my new salesman on the phone today and he’s great! My truck barely changed status and it should be here in a couple weeks.

Seeing all these new arrival pictures has me excited. It has been a LONG wait

 

I ordered an Army Green DCSB OR in manual on May 5. Still hasn’t been allocated ☹️

 

Just an update I decided to place an order with the dealership 1.5hr north of me.
This dealership commented that they will receive Tacoma’s and do their best to trade with other dealerships to get ordered ones. So they will order mine but if the get any unallocated ones, they’ll try to get mine sooner.
the new dealership said he thinks he could get this done by end of November and that the dealership I was dealing with doesn’t try to trade at all.

so I told him I’d order with him but keep my order with the other dealership alive and this will become a “first delivery gets my business” kind of thing.

am I a bad person for doing this? I just think that 8 weeks with almost no communication is brutal.
