Well... Camping was great. Saw a moose this morning. Got on the road to head home and came up to a road block. No warning. Came thru this same route on Friday, no signs or warnings then. So turned around, add another 80 miles to my journey home, cancel a DR appt i had today... Sigh...

Demonic bitmoji, is that an extra cost add-on, or do you just earn it?

we have been back in now for 3 weeks, with very few cases...and again, the ones we do have are all happening at home social events. Seems to be centered around the 2nd-5th grade age.

we have had quite a few non COVID issues like stomach flu's, sinus infections etc...all because of being masked up and away from each other forever...and then not. Had 13 kids out sick at the high school last week, and none were COVID...all negative tests...

all 4 of my schools are now back to masks on except at lunch tho...will see if that works

hope things go better for all and fingers crossed for things to stay stable here.

I always wondered from the begining, what would all this do to our immune system to common cold, flu, etc… we are exposed everyday day to germs and it keeps our immunity up. ??

Trying to make the most of the day. Missed my DR appt, thankfully they know me and know it was completely out of my control at that point to get to the office in time.
Taking the long way home...because I dont have any other choice. Went for a hike. Getting some lunch now. Poop dump and propane stop next. Then making the final push home.

We are a K-5 school. So far we have minimized impact to the school. Masked at all times except for lunch but we are working on a plan to spread kids out while eating. Stay well. Thanks for what you do.

I personally don't know much about the science of this stuff, but my sister is a microbiologist/geneticist, so I do whatever she says to do. And she has always said that you can overprotect ,and that our immune system does weaken the more we keep it from fighting stuff. I never use hand sanitizer because of what she has explained to me goes on with it...it weakens the hands immunity to germs...plus I hate the feel and smell of it

also, having taught kids for 30 or so years, I KNOW my immune system got stronger after the first few years of teaching back in the day. I rarely get flu/cold sick anymore. I have IBS and massive pollen allergies. My first few years of teaching, I got a few typical "kid sicknesses" - strep, flu, colds etc - but as time went on, I quit getting sick. I remember when all the Zinc craze came about in the late 2000's, and all of my teaching pals started taking it...and getting sick. I didn't, and was fine.

same to you!!! I have come to the point where I really don't fear what is going on, and figure if I just follow scientific common sense, I will be fine. I don't fear masks, vaccinations, staying away from people ( i am an introvert by nature ) so I am good. We were just mandated to wear masks again at the high school, so they will all come back out when we are inside. One day this will be under control. Until then, I am not gonna be a whiner about it because it doesn't help anything...

    Seen that before.
Several people complained about the dude. Rangers actually managed to stop him, he fled, somehow got out of the park. It made local news as they were asking for the public's help in finding him. Turned up a few days later in Glacier Park. Rangers there arrested him at a restaurant where he was getting bitchy with the staff. Forget all that he was charged with but it included drunk and disorderly, harassment of wildlife, resisting arrest, assault. Lots of fines, banned from parks. After that video showed up people came forward with other photos/videos of him in grand Teton, Yelly, glacier and I think grand canyon too.
