Bet no one can’t top what I did today. I vacuumed my floors and put down WeatherTechs.

Re-did my swingout latch. It used to be front/back direction of the truck, but it kept cracking/breaking since it was twisting against the weight of the tire. Put the latch left/right and it seems a lot sturdier

Also started on a tcase skid. Piece of 1/4" plate ran me $22 at the metal yard. Going to run straps down the length of it for more support.

I absolutely love my White Knuckle sliders. I agree with you that they're the best on the market, but I also agree that drilling those 4 holes in the frame are a major pain. I'm thankful I'll never have to do that again! I ordered a 1/4" and 1/2" cobalt drill bit online (used the "step up" method), and I used plenty of WD-40 during the process to keep them it lubricated and cool. It still sucked, having hot metal shavings (which smelled like WD-40) falling all over my arms and clothes while I was doing it. Took about 15 minutes per hole.

All of that said, I'd still buy these again over any other sliders that are available. I had the same brand on my Xterra before I bought the Tacoma.

Over the weekend, I installed my RCI engine, transmission, and transfer case skids that I purchased during their Labor Day Sale. I ordered them on Friday evening, they shipped on Tuesday morning, and I had them in hand on Friday evening. Install was nice and smooth. Took about 1 hour start to finish, including watching a 12 minute install video on YouTube and cutting up the cardboard to throw in the trash. Also, no compatibility issues with the transfer case skid cross member and my White Knuckle sliders. Couldn't be happier!

    DSC_1603.jpg

Last night and today, I performed the "anytime 400 watt" modification for the factory inviter, and added a 120v outlet and 12v outlet to the rear of my center console. I had previously installed a USB charging jack on the rear of the console, which got moved to the new panel that houses the 120v and 12v sockets. Both the 12v socket and the USB jacks use a dedicated/fused circuit from my auxiliary battery. I had previously removed the in-dash 12v cigarette lighter style plug when I installed my Meso 8 compartment lower switch panel, so I now have all of my power outlets in-cab again.

Well you have to work harder and/or smarter than most for a build like that. Work hard play harder. Awesome build and look forward to seeing it in action. :hattip:

About 2 weeks ago, I went to Kroger to get some groceries and I had parked at far end of the parking lot. Very few cars in the lot where I was at. Might have been in store 30-45 minutes. Came back out and some @$$hole parked his newer Chevy 2500 behind my truck. Literally blocking the tail gate (couldn't get waters in bed). There was no other vehicles on either side of me. Driver could've parked on either side of me and had no issues.

    But no.

    Directly behind me.

The Cascadia 4x4 VSS System™ hard-mounts to the hood of your 3rd Gen Tacoma and, during daylight hours, provides a constant flow of clean solar energy to your primary or secondary vehicle batteries. This gives you the ability to run 12V accessories like fridges, phone/laptop chargers, lights, power inverters etc. without the need to start your engine and without the fear of draining your battery and leaving you stranded. The VSS System™is completely plug-and-play if paired with our optional MPPT solar charge controller and can be installed in as little as 1.5 hours.

I just did my console lid with the Clazzio this weekend. It was tight! So i removed the console lid which made it better. 6 screws on the underside separate the top from the bottom of the lid, then 4 screws remove the top part of the lid from the hinge. I used a trim tool to get the back of the cover on the lid...

Here is a tip, you can buy a 12"X12" piece of foam 1" or 2" from Michaels/Joanne fabric/Hobby Lobby and put that between the cover and the lid for some extra padding. Especially if you are going to keep it for a while.
