That's a horrible idea. What time?
If your ready to cut it out, then try it anyway. It may work and save yourself some $$ and hone some skills. We were suprised when we got it out, and since I already the roof rack sold, even better.

Did you have the same issue?

I finally got it off and bought all new hardware. Thinking about sealing the holes and reapplying the original weatherstripping and calling it a day. I would have gone for bed bars but they aren’t compatible with my mx4 tonneau cover. Maybe I should sell the mx4 and get a tonneau that can accommodate a rack…

Yes, when putting on a roof rack. One head stripped out and kept getting worse, so we finally just drilled it out.

We're moving this week so we're in downsizing mode ourselves.

On a separate note, I contacted Deaver, ADS and Archive and all are reporting about 2-3 more weeks before my orders are ready, so hopefully I'll start seeing stuff show up in October!

The van has decided to become a racecar and only up shift at 4200 rpm. And downshift at 2300. Why does a torque converter need a solenoid?

Anyone looking for a garage tv setup? Samsung 42" tv with blown speakers, but including a sound bar that works perfectly! $55. Pics are dusty.

Mine lost ability to lockup the converter clutch randomly. Turns out the connection from the transmission to the wiring harness was corroded, and a shop soldered on a new connection. its been fine since. Worth a check

The main code I had was p2759. mine just wouldn't lock up the converter or occasionally not into overdrive, but shifted normally otherwise. something about the converter clutch not responding also locked it out of OD. It was also kinda random when it threw the cel.

I'd guess it probably builds a lot of heat in the transmission without the lockup.

went to ace hardware and got all stainless m6 hardware (btw their metric selection is leaps and bounds better than Lowe’s or Home Depot if you ever need a good variety and inventory of metric hardware). What a difference that made over the crap stuff that came with it.
Rack is now on, and I siliconed the threads of the five bolts going into the roof on each side as well as around the foam gasket. Hoping that keeps any leaks out.

If you're lucky, some Ace's and/or Pleasants hardware will carry JIS hardware, which is mega nice on the larger fasteners. JIS hardware tends to favor more compact bolt heads, whereas bald eagle flavor metric bolts tend to have massive pancake heads for whatever reason.

Also nice to use the same wrench/socket on all fasteners the same bolt size if everything is all one standard

    Thanks for the tip.

have you used this before? This is what I sealed the bolts with as it was all I had in hand.
