Very cool. How is it going to be taking it down? Once you release the 4 straps does It swing/bobble around a lot on the single mount point of the hoist?

Well, I haven't taken it down yet.

I think I can release each strap slowly until it connects and tightens with strap on the hoist. The first photo, we had made some modifications to how we clip the hoist to the straps, so that distance is much less, I hope it will limit any swing that might happen. I'll be sure to let you know when I do this.

I decided it was easier to keep the rack attached to the tent then to remove and lift just the tent.

I hope that I can raise and lower this on the truck by myself, without any help.

I had a very similar setup in my last garage. it likely will swing around a bit, but if you are careful you can do it without scratching the truck. I ended up running a line from the winch to each corner to keep the swing to a minimum. Just a thought.

Finally wore out the OE 265/70R16 Goodyears on it . Decided to go to a LT265/75R16. Running a private label we carry. It's the Terra Raider ATX KU-257. 3ply sidewall, 3PMSF Certified and pinned for studs. So far great tire for the price. After blowing 1 on top of a mountain and the 2nd one coming down, it was time to replace them.

No. Electric hoist. Lifts both the tent and bed rack. Should be much easier to add and remove both the tent and rack on my truck then just the tent to the rack.

Should have zip tied a cart to his wheel. With the shine on that thing and the way they parked I doubt they have a knife on them to break it...

But for real though. I just got this. 689C2705-13C7-4DCE-89B0-C70FF4927112.jpgApparently the whole ac in the bed is a bunch of shit. I’m gonna have to run a cigarette lighter to the rear. Good thing I’ve got my old lighter a switch and a relay around here somewhere.

I've got a temporary set up now, post pics when you are done, I'm trying to figure out a permanent set up. Currently its wire thats probably a size too small, and a bunch of zip ties

Ooh. Do tell. I’ve got an empty switch hole, a space on my aux power supply and a relay. So I’m thinking I’ll just run it in the bed and the switch will let me turn it on whenever. :fingerscrossed:
