Should we start a “Tacoma wave”

I'm assuming you didn't intend for that link to go to my post and if you did, I'm completely confused as to why.

I occasionally get the stupid VW peace sign wave thing driving my wife’s golf around town. I always make sure to respond by visibly tilting my head back and laughing as hard as I can.

 

I have a second gen but I did have a third gen wave to me the other day so I gave him a nod. Usually modded tacos are the ones who wave which is totally fine with me. I don't see the harm in returning an acknowledgement between two enthusiasts with nice trucks. I usually don't initiate a wave tho...

 

+1 to the wave back crew. most modded ones are friendly and wave.. then there was the girl I tried talking to about the mods on her truck.. "came that way, I don't know" .... I laugh at the ones who drive like assholes and post their social media handles on the back of their not really modded vehicles though

I ride a Honda VTX 1800 N. I'll usually give the standard "2-fingers-down" to any other biker, no matter what brand they ride. It's basically an acknowledgement of the shared interest and a reminder to "always keep both wheels planted below you".

 

Dilemma - what if the other Tacoma’s party dress is the same party dress your Tacoma’s wearing? Do you wave or tilt your head back in a snooty manner?

I had an nice old 85 CJ for a while and my son (an avid Jeep guy) gave me crap for not waving to others. Soooo...last year I gave him the Jeep and said "here, you do it". lmao

 

It's always platonic until it's not. This truck is a peen magnet, so many dudes wanna talk about it -- generally it's cool to meet nice people with similar interests, even when I'm super anti social.

Just be ready to put your money where that sweet little mouth of yours is when blowing kisses, that's all I'm saying.

Someone flashing me their lights, regardless of a Tacoma, would have me doing a double take at my speed. I have been waved at and have waved back at a few, but I don’t make a big deal out of it - similarly to motorcycles waving back, not everyone does it. Like motorcycles, there are a lot of Tacoma’s on the road and paying attention to the individual driver of oncoming traffic is fatiguing. There are enough traffic and in-car distractions so not every wave is always met or is realized too late after passing. I usually just hit em with a hang loose emoji. Hell I dap up 1 tons. Trucks are cool in general and I discriminate everyone equally.

Few days ago there was a Jeep Gladiator behind me in traffic. Then another Gladiator is heading towards us from the other direction. I didn't see them wave at one another, they might have but I didn't see it.

I think they both got mad the other was driving a Gladiator.
