I mean, it's gotta be hard for a mod. You're out on a date..... things are going great..... girl says something political..... you reflexively slap her across the mouth....

Aspen did make the extended list. If I remember right it was 440th and was beat out by Crested Butte.

There is nothing special about Grand Junction. But you are a lot closer to the better parts of Colorado than you'd be in California.

I decided to take the offer, I will take a little bit of a pay cut, I currently make about 120k a year as an hourly employee, I get ot after 8 and double time after 12 and do about 70 hour weeks which is no way to live a life. The position in Colorado will be roughly in the mid 80s pay wise, he said the labor laws in Colorado pay ot after 12 and or 40 hours a week. The taxes are a lot less and I figure so will the cost of living plus I'll only be working closer to 40 hours a week there.

My question is, the housing market is insane everywhere right now obviously, I figured I would try grand junction for a year and if I really hate it I can come back to socal. If I like it I would like to buy a house, I've seen they're going up in value in grand junction just like everywhere else, do you guys who live in Colorado think that the prices will stabilize in the next year or so (go back to pre covid levels)?

They might taper for a bit but I doubt the market here is going down any appreciable amount. I don't forsee people deciding they don't want to move to CO at any point in the future

Colorado is the next California, if you live in the bigger cities you are screwed, rural areas are still pretty good, the women are the same no matter where you are, yes you have more choices in California but you also get a lot more crazies. Rolly Polly are governor isn't much better than newsome! Like I said Colorado in major areas is just like California!

Housing is supposed to go up significantly in the next foreseeable future. My taxes have gone from 1400.00 per year to 4000.00 in four years.

Welcome to the new Cali without the beach.
