What is the RPM and shaft size ?? What tests have you done ? Is this Capacitor start ??

You mean like take it apart and shit?

 

Grab a meter and test the switch, ring out the coil and the cord if the motor has impedance. Pretty simple stuff. There are companies that will repair the windings if the motor is bad. But it’s not gonna be cheap. Could replace it with a new motor. Would be the cheapest alternative.

I'm shocked that it is made in Brooklyn NY, USA. Almost every appliance I've seen is made in China, or another foreign country. It is in great shape for how old it is.

 

Do a google search for an electrical motor repair shop. Maybe someone that rebuilds servos and what not.

People tend to throw things out for a reason.

Unless there was a sign saying free don`t be surprised if the police are knocking on your door.

This happened to a friend turned out the item was in the trash of the police officers parents since some people might toss out identity information it was very interesting and a expensive lesson.

 

I doubt someone would call the police over an old box fan.

 

There was a time when most stuff bought in America was made in America
