Bumper end caps

I have a new Voodoo blue Off Road and I'm wanting to replace the chrome bumper end caps.

I know ecoological makes some that go over the existing caps, and while their finish that matches the fender flares doesn't look bad I think I'd prefer to color match, I'm not sure what kind of availability they have for voodoo. I also found some from TacoVinyl but based on some posts I found here on TW I'm kind of questioning the quality. Then there's the paintedoemparts website, but I haven't found anything about them.

Who do you guys trust? Voodoo blue isn't a common color and I just want to make sure I get a good match. Doesn't need to be the cheapest as long as the quality and color match are good.

 

Just order the factory sr black caps, or equivalent online. They texture is pretty much a perfect match for the fender flares. It looks good

Thanks! My rear bumper came from the factory with color matched caps (not sure why it's chrome for some?), but I have bought many things from TacoVinyl. They haven't done me wrong yet. Their color matching is spot on.

 

The main complaints I saw about him was in regards to an aftermarket grill, but it did sound like the end caps might be good. He's one of the only ones that offer all of the color match options. Looks like we've got almost the same truck, mine is a manual.

 

I bought my TRD aftermarket grille from TacoVinyl, but I didn't buy the painted one. It seemed like over kill. I did buy the colored "Toyota" inserts though.

 

I had to replace one recently. The oem cover is about 85 from any online oem dealer. Find a body shop or if you know someone in a body shop they will probably charge about 100-200. I paid 80 with a 20 tip and it’s back to oem.

I might go with one of the customcargrills for a front grill, I've liked the look of his since I bought my 16 but I never got around to buying one.

 

I couldn't find any outer black rings, they only had inner black rings. So I went with blue. The ones I have are peel & stick. I didn't have to dismantle the dash the other outer rings require.

 

Meso has a replacement kit they offer in black for like $50 I think.

 

They're $240...I might as well go get mine powder coated black.

 

I've seen a few aftermarket caps that were painted factory colors on eBay. Pretty close match too. Ones with sensor holes, some without, but no blue.

 

Yeah, I thought about getting that but went another way because:

1) A few of the black out pieces (The shifter piece and center console) I wouldn't use at all. I don't even notice the chrome.
2) I didn't want to tear apart my dash JUST to hide a piece of chrome.

 

From what I can tell the upper dash is super easy, the climate rings and 4wd/push start are a lot more involved. I travel for work, largely in my truck, and I've been blinded more than few times by the shifter chrome on my 16 SR5, I look forward to getting rid of that.
