Got a question about wiring my front components. I got a set of these and I am installing them with the stock head unit. For now at least. There are two sets of wires in the stock setup- 1 for tweeter and 1 for the 6x9. Should i bring both of these down to the crossover box that comes with my new kit?? Will this give me any advantage as far as power is concerned or are the stock ones just paralleled to one line out on the factory hu? I have a 2010 access cab if this matters. thanks

Nevermind i found a set of wiring diagrams. This explains why there are four wires coming into the connector for the tweeter.

    Hey Kristonex:

How did you power the crossover? Did you pull wires from the head unit or tap from the wire harness in the door? I ran speaker wires from the stock speaker harness but i got no sound. Any help is much appreciated.

take your signal from the factory tweeter (red and black directly feeding the tweeter). Cut the wires, remove the tweeter and hook up your wiring to the red and black leads at the tweeter. Run wire from there to cross over and then cross over to your new tweeters and woofers. This assumes a non jbl system
