    I thought freakin Supercharged showoff…..
    j/k

I should have just ordered a manual and not just taken whatever deal I could get from the lot.

I’ve cooked professionally, for many years. Back before everyone just googled recipes. So I have a few cookbooks, and that one is stuck in the middle of them. My own little teehee, it’s funny because…

Thanks everyone. Now I will know what to do instead of panic grind slamming into first. :anonymous:

And I will try a fluid change. It rarely happens, but early on it would just resist going into first a little,,,,now a couple times it down right denies me,,,,so rude :)

I used the Motorcraft XT-M5-QS, it meets Toyota specifications. I had no problems with the factory fill but the new fluid was a noticeable improvement in an already nice shifting transmission.

Rock Auto had the best price.

I prefer driving to just steering I guess. There are only two trucks left that offer a manual...the Taco and the wildly overpriced Jeep Gladiator. I found my way to Toyota because they offer a manual. As others have said....they are not long for this world. I'll get one while I can. Just wish it was available with a long bed.

Maybe someday an electric car company will deliver us a third pedal and a simulated H pattern shifter. With all the development of racing sims I doubt it would be far off from the real thing.

Oh dear Lord I hope you are wrong. The last time I checked, and it's been a few years, it was
The Tacoma, Jeep Gladiator, Nissan, and Dodge. Now you say it's down to just two manufacturers ? We're in trouble boys.....

    .

Yep. That's what RWD59565 said too. And he thinks there won't be a manuel transmission for the 4th Gen. I just can't believe this.....

one of my daughters’ soccer coach is driving a dodge with Cummins and a manual. Something to drool over, it’s just too big though.

I have to agree with you again on this one Benny. When I bought my very first Toyota pickup truck (Tacoma after 1995), I didn't downgrade.... I down sized. I would love a big ass Dodge with an MT, but it's just not practical for my needs and won't fit in my garage. Ha ha ha.

For sure that would be a sweet option. I’d be stoked to have the instant torque of electric motors with the control of a three pedal setup.

Got my 2021 DCSB TRD OR 6Sp manual. Previous truck was a Ram 2500 CCSB, Cummins , 6 speed manual. Was a great truck, other than the instrument panel ECU crapping out and taking the whole dash with it. Great tranny, G-56 MB. Kids grown up, sold the last camper and glad I got my new Taco as my retirement truck, save the manuals!! Sure do miss that straight pipe diesel sound though!

My retirement present to me. :)

All my life I had cheap clunkers & wheezers, old vehicles that had over 100,000 on them when I got them, I took care of them and they did fine. My daily is a $1200 van.
The Tacoma currently has 34,000 on it, isn't a daily and doesn't do winters. It should last the rest of my life.
