IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE???

Trying to reach an understanding here. As you might know, I am new to this forum. And I am new to the ownership of a Tacoma. But not hearing from anyone is where I am getting confused. Can anyone see my post or my questions? I have posted several times with very little to no interaction at all.

Is this a dead forum or am I not posting correctly? If you can see this question can you acknowledge it? Also if this is not a forum for sharing enthusiasm and knowledge about Tacomas, can anyone point me in the direction where this kind of interaction is welcome?

I see your prior posts. All I can really say is sometimes things get shuffled down the "latest posts" lists pretty quickly and get missed by those who may be able to help you out.

 

Maybe you’re not really posting, but just ‘think’ you are and these responses are merely a further figment of your imagination, heck…

Well, thank you for that. Respectfully I have no need to relax more than I am at present. I am genuinely not upset or mad, I truly want to understand what this is about. What is the use of being here if you are not willing to speak up and help fellow taco owners with their questions? I have seen outstanding forums die or become the plaything of 15 or 20 people simply because other members were afraid to answer and risk being belittled by the troll gods who dominate the forum. Is that what this is about? I must be missing something here or is a two-week reply the norm?

This forum is extremely active. Sometimes posts get lost because there’s so many new ones being made by the minute. Obviously the 2nd gen threads aren’t as active anymore. Also some sub threads many people don’t actively search. Most view off mobile devices and it shows the most recently replied to threads.

Acting the way you are isn’t going to get you far here. Many people are here to help others out. Great things, people, and friendships have came from this forum.

I find this forum pretty active and helpful. I mostly search for existing issues and people sharing their fix/advice. Maybe your questions just haven't seen the right audiences yet?

I sense some entitlement here...

 

It's like RedWings44 said. Some of the "viral" posts here started off slow. Sometimes people miss the new posts from the first page or only come here (guilty) for the posts I've subbed to. There's been WEEKS I've lost to reading all 300 pages of a post before posting in the forum myself. I wouldn't say it's a dead forum, but there are definitely some threads that are more active than others.

If your stuff isn't getting answered and a day or two goes by, give it a bump to let people know you're still interested in the answer / topic and that will repost it to the front page. After 2-3 of those though, it may be time to let it die.

Very perceptive of you, but what we have here is not a failure to communicate. But instead the inability. Tech challenged should be my user name.

 

This is truly one of the best forums I’ve ever been on regarding any platform. Cars, PC’s, etc. I’ve never even had a Tacoma. Sure the members can be sarcastic jackasses but I’d take that any day over the old stubborn uptight members of the Lexus, Tundra, or 4Runner forums.
