 Please, don't even mention that stuff -- the memory of 35 inches of snow in my driveway is still fresh...

Well, got a call I didn’t want to get today. My 2021 DCSB in Voodoo Blue has a twisted frame. Might be a total loss unless insurance wants to fix. Was in an accident last month, T boned a Honda Accord while traveling at 25mph. I pulled the bumper out and drove it to the shop. Assumed since it was driveable it would just be some minor damage but nope. They seem to think it’s out of whack by 3 inches. :(

It's coming along. Still a few things to sort out, but hopefully mostly complete by AOAA.

You don't have to shovel humidity...

December 17 - at it for over an hour so far:
The mountain on the right is my daily van -- studded snow tires weren't going to do squat that day.
The path in front of the 30 year old snowblower goes down about 80 feet to the unplowed dirt road which leads to another unplowed dirt road -- I wonder what they do with the not insignificant amount of tax dollars I pay.... :notsure:

Lived here all my life -- hated snow even as a kid.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

Sorry to read the bad news @GunrockTA0811 - hopefully it gets sorted out for you. On one hand you hate to loose your truck - on the other, you don't want one back that will continue to give you issues.

Supposed to get the boards we need to complete the outside of the stable this morning so I'll prime them so the contractor can hang them tomorrow. Then we'll put the final coat on them and be finished with the exterior repairs...for this year....I hope.

    Be safe out there!!

Bummer. Glad everyone is ok and hope everything works out for you. I would imagine they would total it, with frame damage.

That think looks like a beast now.

Been absent a while. Took a long weekend to go to the Eastern Shore. To too much to do there, unless you’re a boater, so made it a short weekend. It is a beautiful area, though.
Golfed 9 holes yesterday, only 3 over, a new low for me! Gotta get all the bugs playoff the truck, refresh the headlights and see if I can get the hitch plug powered up. Back to work tomorrow.

The only positive thing to think about is that truck has such a high value a frame shouldn't total it. From what I've read that's a 20k job on a truck with a trade in value of 40k roughly. I'm gonna think positively and say they'll fix it.

I thought in PA when it comes to the frame, that overrides the cost to fix vs vehicle value? I had a WS6 that was 2 years old had a rear corner hit and since the rear quarter panels are welded to the frame on those cars, then damage to that panel plus a slight tweak to the frame in that area, deemed it a total loss. It was then rebuilt and ran with an R-title.

I really think it depends on the insurance company. It may have been like that, but in these times things are royally effed up...

Ya perhaps. I certainly don't know for sure. But just from my experience, the car can have a repair far less than the cost of the vehicle value and still be totaled by slight frame/structure tweak. But I guess we will see. I just hope that whatever happens, it comes out positive for GunrockTA0811.

That storm is the one that pretty much did me in after the clean up I fell on a patch of Ice no one knows why I did not go from unconscious to dead the downside of living alone .Nice bump on my head and a messed up knee so that even when I woke up it was a struggle to get back up and inside.

Still enjoy the snow yes I am strange .

Just curious why have you not moved to a climate that does not see snow ??

What is left of my family is in Florida and Texas .

Given the choice I would much rather move Snow then cut grass

Why... I guess I'm entrenched here between property and possessions. :anonymous:

More serious, my mom was just a few miles away and I felt it was important to be around to look after her so I bought a place here.

Wow , how long were you out? I don't miss those bitter cold windy days. I remember back in the day working outside at a power plant along the Allegheny and grabbing a piece of 4 inch aluminum rigid conduit and my gloves stuck to it!! Then went to pull wire and the wire lube(soap) was frozen. It was an early quit that day, and still got chewed out from my boss. Hot humid 90 plus is still uncomfortable, maybe a bit better than bitter cold.

I'm with you, as I can do without the humidity that makes me sticky and uncomfortable, which seems to be more often than not for 5-6 months a year.
