I have a 2020 TRD OR. When I lock the doors by key fob or handle and another door is open, it beeps obnoxiously long and loud until I shut the doors.

Is there a way to disable this? Its so irritating. Sometimes, I lock my doors before my passenger shuts their door and would like to not hear a 30 second beep.

    Thanks!

It's there so that you don't lock your keys in the truck. I don't think you would be able to disable it.

Don't do that. Just wait a few extra seconds. Problem solved. Come on, guy.

Some sounds can be turned off three ways:
    -- In the head unit

    -- With TechStream
Some folks like me will help others out for free.
See this post for what can be done:
-- Speaker delete - simple and effective
This was my final route to Serenity Now!

With my '21 TRD OR the passenger side door can be open, I open the driver side door, hit the lock button on the door, close the door, close the passenger side door, no beeps, both doors are locked. Guess you're doing something different.

No OP is right. If you go to lock your truck and the passenger hasn't closed their door yet, it will beep for a long time. My brothers 100 series land cruiser and my other brothers 200 series both do it as well. It's a Toyota thing for sure.

Well if I can turn it off, I'd like to.

OP may be correct for his vehicle, but I just tried with mine:
    - If the passenger door is not completely closed and I attempt to lock with the fob outside of the truck, I get the long beep.
    - If the passenger door is not completely closed and I attempt to lock with the door button, I do NOT get the long beep and both doors are locked.

You know the truck wont lock when the person closes the door right? You have to push the button again, and if you dont push the button again and just assume the doors locked not knowing the passenger door was open (because you turned off the beep), your going to end up with someone stealing your stuff.
This seems like your looking for a solution without a problem, its almost as bad as the guy who likes to back into trees, so he is getting a big metal bumper instead of just not backing into trees.

TechStream looks to have some really good features. How would one obtain the software? Hardware is easy to get more often then not.

The key fob is designed to arm the alarm at the same time it locks your doors, and it can't arm the alarm with a door open. Just pretend it's 1990 and push the door lock button manually if you want to lock the doors when they're open.

It definitely does. ECU updates, Customizations, new keys, etc. 1st Post of the ECU Update thread.

HW is not that easy. The cheap cable can work for the easy stuff, but can be dangerous when flashing or programming keys. A genuine Tactrix adapter is the lowest cost, reliable option.

Put a stick of gum in your mouth and start chewing. Now follow the beeping sound under the dash until you find it. You know what to do next.....
