Hmmm, plastic electrical boxes on an open area like that? You all must have some lax codes...

That’s how it was built many moons ago and certified.
    I don’t see a problem here.

Has long as they have the proper covering on them....I think they're good to go in most places. Around here metal boxes require grounding

Oh, I don't see it as a problem and didn't try and come off rude. I actually did start to do the same thing in my garage...

However while doing the work guy told me I wasn't allowed to use plastic boxes in an open space like that and supposed to use conduit for the wire runs. I used metal boxes for my receptacles, but I be dammed if I'm running EMT everywhere...

TY. There is lots of stuff to go up there. Stuffy I rarely use but need it when work calls for it. I’ll be ably to clean the clutter.

No your fine however if it was a commercial building then it’s total metal.
I was going to run metal air system but I just use a hose reel instead.

Atleast you can store stuff up there now. 1/2 of the attic space in my garage is planked for storage, but I can't put anything heavy up there. Powder post beetles got the ceiling joist and are soft as Hell. Accidentally went too far in with the truck the other day. Bumped the steps and felt the whole garage move o_O
