I'm kind of surprised Toyota has been as tightlipped as it is regarding all things '22 for their trucks. For a truck that should be for sale here very shortly it seems odd that they haven't said much.

Maybe it is like this every year and I'm just misremembering, but it seems odd too me.

Guys l am sorry as l wasn't trying to be a downer on the TE, it just seems after more info it's not the value for dollar that l was expecting. That said, they will probably sell like hotcakes cause the average consumer probably doesn't pay attention to detail the way enthusiasts do.

I like the idea of the TE, but find the price point to be confusing. It's like paying more for a decontented OR, but it comes with a lift, better wheels, and some bed boxes.

100%. I’m still really interested in it as a small lift, nice rims and the pro grille we’re going to be my starting mods. Given that the lift is under factory warranty, and the rims are (IMO) awesome it seemed like it had everything I wanted. When I found out it had the rear locker that was a major plus. Still not as good value as the OR, but I’d want to modify that as well, and then end up paying more (but having more too...)

Of interest is that I don’t think the Canadian model comes with the bed storage (can’t remember where I saw that), but we’ll see.

Only thing is, you could get the same lift and wheels and be pretty close to the same price as the TE for a full fledged OR. That's why it makes less sense to me now than when it first leaked.

And if you went aftermarket for the lift on a OR, it might be cheaper with the wheels than the TE.

But I understand wanting to be done with it as well.

You might be totally right. When the Canadian pricing comes out if the Trail is more than an OR here I’d be out. My line of thought only works if the pricing here is similar to last year- when the OR and trail were $300 apart. It wouldn’t make any sense to me to pay more than the OR for the Trail.

Some interesting stuff in this video. At the time stamp should be an OR with the Toyota lift and no fogs. Video implied this would be an option?

Also later in the video it has pro vs. TE pricing, but no OR listed. (Probably due to pricing not being available, not implying anything about the OR).

No pricing for the 22 OR was listed. Or options. Pro and TE were and have been covered pretty well, just seems weird the OR is light on details as of right now.

Apparently Toyota will finally reveal the 2022 Tacoma next week. That's what my dealership told me. I'll believe it when I see it .

I hope so. Not sure why they would release Tacoma info after Tundra reveal.

That would be awesome. This waiting sucks. I noticed in a thread from last year that the website went live with 21’s on September 9th, 2020. So hopefully it won’t be too much longer.

But what is there to reveal besides confirmed pricing? We know no real changes as the trail and Pro have been released...nothing new new to pass to the other trims in either.

I have no proof of this, but I just feel like the sooner they reveal everything, put it on the website, etc, the sooner they’ll be switching over production. At least that’s my hope.

For us Canadians, it will tell us exactly what we can get for 2022. Toyota Canada offers fewer trims and colors. I don't know what the colors will be on the access cab SR5 and whether or not lunar rock will be possible on the access cab OR.

My dealer told me no sr or sr5 access cab in Canada this yr. Only off fd. Black white mgm and blue crush only in access cab.
    We shall see...
