Do you even put stickers on your lawnmower? Remember, 5 hp per sticker, you could mow your lawn in half the time.

A friend and I changed pulleys on one when we were in middle school. It would do about 35 MPH on flat surfaces, 25 up hill. Steering in those things was definitely not meant for anything beyond 5 MPH. Neither were the brakes - a few stops from 30 destroyed those. I think its final demise was due to transmission failure on account of downshifting to slow down too many times. When you're 14, not having brakes isn't a show stopper.

    I have 5 of https://smile.amazon.com/VP-Racing-Fuels-3512-Motorsport/dp/B003TTV972 .
Your selection seems much more affordable than mine.

For reasons of generator consumption I decided I needed 20 gallons of fuel at the house.
All of them also get fuel stabilizer.
Then I have 1 that is the "active" fuel can for things like the lawnmower. When it's empty the "nozzle" rotates to one of the other 4, and the one that was the active one gets refilled and put back in the storage area.

I definitely don't have the burble tune, nor do I condone it. My car might backfire on shifts or pop under deceleration once in a blue moon, but I don't drive around actively trying to be a menace. :burnrubber:
That's where you kindly, yet firmly, ask him to hippity hoppity, and get the fuck off your property. In NH, you can achieve similar results with a 12ga :notsure:
I'm hoping that by acknowledging the risk and calling the car out on its bullshit with the plate, I'll avoid that tragedy...
tHeReS nO rEpLaCeMeNt FoR dIsPlAcEmEnT :duh:
I love the idea of the VP racing jugs, but the cost of them has always kept me away (not to mention, my local NAPA has them for sale at the low low price of $55.99).

I'm still rocking some pre-ban high capacity gas cans. They were from a simpler time when you just had to push the lock tab down with your thumb and push the lever... Also, I just buy diesel jugs that don't have that CARB bullshit on them. Take a pair of needlenose pliers and rip out the little contaminant screen and you're good to go! :bananadead:

One thing you don't F with is RI and taxes. That shit bird was definitely going to call me in and they aren't very forgiving. Also we were on the sidewalk, and a rental property, AND this is RI .... not NH .... we aren't as lax on firearms laws. :pout:

    Also, taxation is theft.

Yup. I knew we weren't like the TOP of the taxed states, but honestly Maine up there surprises me.

Edit - NH is 46th on that list.

Source? I'm curious to see where some other states lie on there.

    https://wallethub.com/edu/states-with-highest-lowest-tax-burden/20494

Here's another one that shows different rankings for the same stuff though

    https://taxfoundation.org/publications/state-local-tax-burden-rankings/

I didn't dig too deep into how it was all being calculated. But, the same neighborhood is there. NY #1, ME higher than I expected, VT is pretty high up there (heh heh!), RI is in the top 10.

Like I said, taxation is theft! Go NH!!!

I'm also rather surprised that Maine is higher than California... That doesn't seem right :notsure:
New York was more like 20%... I was $600 salary and came home with $424.. I got taken advantage of so hard at that dealership. I'm very glad the service manager got removed from the job.

It's a gross averaging of local tax burden by state, as each town & county has their own tax structure. Here in NH one can pay 3 times the rate as someone in the next town.

Be sure to check your locality before you move. Also, some states cap the annual increase for your principle residence. Florida does this, NH does not.

I hate to see people lose their homes because of tax increases that exceed general inflation.

Gubment is still running, you're still paying taxes, it's just not the usual suspects as to how they're getting their money.

Massachusetts gets a lot of complaints, but they do some of this right. Proposition 2-1/2 limits tax rate increases for any town and there's a $25 per $1000 cap for residential no matter what. One town was within pennies of that number and was considering seeking an exemption from the state rule, but residents rejected that.

Rhode island is similar. Y'all don't have income tax so your property taxes are a lot more (relatively), but in RI we have three "main" taxes. Income, Property, Vehicle. We pay on our vehicle NADA clean value regardless of its actual condition. So a 20 year old beater civic worth 500 bucks, NADA clean is like 15k probably, so you'd have that 15k in value to pay taxes on.

It's (in my town) 37.10 (I think) per thousand, with a 2k exemption (so if the vehicle is worth 2k or less, no tax!) Same with property, varies by town. So you can balance where you want to live based on your shiz. Have 17 cars a few motorcycles and live alone? Get a single wide where the property tax is astronomical but vehicle tax is low. And visa versa. Plus school districts if you've got crotch goblins.

That's a good way to limit something from skyrocketing, for example if a company decides to open up a hub in BFE western MA, suddenly BFE where stuff was worth F all is now worth half a mil. Keeps stuff in check.
