What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

At home quarantining and was bored so I did the AC drain mod even though I think it’s a pretty low yield project.

 

Did the rear diff breather mod. Ran the hose into the gasshole bay. Never understood why Toyota did not do this from the factory. Now time to find a water hole that is deeper than 18"!

 

Great mod! Super cheap to do and way worth it in the long run considering Toyota's history with frame rot. Another one of those no brainer items that should have been done at the factory.

 

Well done on the Kolpin mounts. I posted about switching to them recently and how they’re wayyyyyyyyy better than the Quick Fist garbage. My Quick Fist tabs ripped literally the first time I secured my recovery equipment.

I used the 3” Kolpin mounts and now secure both my axe/shovel in the same 2 mounts, freeing up space rather than my old setup of 4 mounts for 2 tools. This freed up room to mount my first aid kit on the same MOLLE panel, making it easily accessible, which wasn’t possible with my old setup.

 

I'm thinking it'd be sweet if those bed light connectors could go vertical but the hole seems oval. I could attempt to locate/identify a tree which might be 90 degrees and would snap into place but I don't know of that off the top of my head.

 

The new Diesel 4X4 Hilux name is spot-on.

The new diesel Hilux is called invincible and has that stamped across the tailgate and on the side.

 

I wish I could get it to the US. I'm in Europe and saw it at the dealer near me.

 

Never could understand why they don't have a diesel option here in the U.S.

if it was in the states id buy it and throw that rear bumper right in the trash lol

 

One side done. Not the easiest job solo, but manageable. MT sliders.

 

I saw a GX today or it could of been a LX all black with the black grill and grill trim. The all black grille and trim looked good. I also saw a 200 Series Heritage Edition, that looked better.

 

Ok driver side done now. That would have been a 20min project with 2 peoples. But I needed to vent work frustration in the garage and decided to make it happen.

 

I hate it when that happens. There's like a 25% chance I feel like shit after eating taco bell. I always order the same thing too

 

I feel like if you put “invincible” on a truck and sold it in the states, some fuckwad would launch it of a parking garage and if still alive, sue toyota blind. It should just say “poser” on the back. Any member on this forum could drive that truck into the ground if they weren’t paying for it.

 

I mean first of all that V wedge created has to real nice for aerodynamics. Can probably pop a wheelie easily. I am actually scared to see how it is actually attached. Looks like a death trap unless driven under 20 mph and only in a straight line.
