They're made by Morimoto which is a relatively high-end aftermarket lighting manufacturer. They're $650usd, which isn't unreasonable but exchange and shipping fucks us.

What's so special is up to you

You figure with Morimoto own by Wheels Pro they would just press the prices down.

Anyone looking for 17" 2nd gen sport rims for winter rims? They're not pretty but they are all true. Ran them for last 4 winters.

I'll post on kijiji for $150 but $125 for a TW member here. Located in sarnia/brampton areas

There is no way I can fit 285/75/r16 with a +15 offset without CMC or more, correct?

With inset wheels you likely won't need a CMC, but the tire sidewall will hit the UCA.

I spot this truck around every now and again...

    Inked-IMG-1617-LI_f8bb93c1bb63451d5be939ec614173abcf4b1350.jpg

Don't recognize the truck from this site or the coffee flexes.... but with the number of mods I can see in the truck driving by, I would not be surprised if they hadn't spent some time on tacomaworld.

will have to print out a Tacomaworld BS thread link and tuck it under his/her wipers... if they don't speak up.

I got some friendly advice from a older gentleman I met at Silverdale range today...
"If it flies, floats or fucks, rent it. Don't buy it"
Was said to me when I told him I wanted to get a nice fishing boat...lol

Classic YOTA rims and they would be great winters. Sandblast and blackout and they would be super sporty! Great price.

I ran those same rims on my Tundra for a winter set up….

Toyota really messed up the actuator stuff on our rigs with 4x4. Every one of them fails.

They use different metals on the diff locker, so they corrode together. Makes them impossible to take apart and you are forced to destroy the parts to do so.

We have had no luck so far other than a tiny crack in the actuator. Just the slightest of movement on it. So sad they designed it this way.

Id suggest anyone with a locker do yearly removal, anti-seize and put it back on. I had no idea about this, or I would have been doing it. :boom:

In a normal conditions they will last very long time, Toyota NA doesn't design their vehicles to be taken further than gravel roads.
Although it was smart of them to hide e-locker actuator inside of the 3rd gen axle housing -> 3rd gen best gen

So when is the ARB air locker going in?

    You already have the pump.

Anyone try vinyl wrapping their taco? I really like the matte black or matte dark brown look. I got a quote for 4.5k. Is that decent for shops in the GTHA?

    WOWOWOWOW

Just say NO TO DRUGS! THAT QUOTE IS ON DRUGS.

I had mine done like 5 years ago for $2k.

I recently got quoted $600 to remove it. Since I have left it on to long and it has started to dry out, which makes it much harder to get off.

    And $3k to re-wrap. Total was $3600 +tax.

The Asin part being $630 on Amazon, is still cheaper and easier than putting in an ARB.

Now that I know of this issue, I can prevent it from happening to the new one. With yearly maintenance and love.

Why $630 on Amazon instead of $404 on Rock Auto?

I thought rock auto was USA.

    My bad.

Yes I will buy it from Rock Auto. I am sure it is going to be destroyed taking it off.
