    So I finally got KDMax done by Alex (@Magiriano) at Doekter Tuning out of Calgary. He was passing through town on the way to Winnipeg and we were able to meet up and get the tune done.

    The biggest thing I've noticed is that the truck feels lighter. Previous to the Tacoma, I had a Forester XT and a VW GLI, both tuned. The stock Tacoma feels heavy... like the engine is just struggling to move the weight. With KDMax, the truck feels as small as those cars. It's like the truck went on a diet and lost 1000lbs.

    And the shifting! I'm only 50km into the tune and already the gearing feels more like a modern automatic. It holds gears appropriately and moves through them predictably. It almost feels like the gears hang a little, but then I realized that it's keeping the truck in the power band as opposed to finding the next gear and bogging down.

    On my two previous vehicles, the tunes felt OEM. They felt like what the vehicle should have felt coming from factory. This tune is no different. It doesn't feel scary or aftermarket. It feels like Toyota made this tune themselves.

    Yes. I would say get it re flashed and go ahead and clear the learning and get a reset.
    My truck has been on the tune for months and I feel like it gets better and better with time.

    Shoutout to @A_Tacoma01 (Alex) for re-tuning mine from an SLT to LT. Had to upgrade after I added a 2" lift, sliders, and roof rack and felt that the SLT wasn't providing enough in the first few gears. LT is perfect and brought my mpg's back to what I had before I added extra weight!

    Got tuned a few weeks ago and have been very happy with the results running around town. This last week took a road trip from Phoenix to Durango and back. Truck took the hills so much better than ever before. So glad I got tuned before the road trip.

    2020 trucks that updated to 04b82 are now Supported

    If you updated and have been waiting for 04b82 to be supported in VFtuner---It was added yesterday and we were able to make the 04B82 KDMax tunepack.

    @PapaRee I'm in the Pittsburgh PA area. Looking at the map there isn't anyone really around me. What are my options?
    I'm new to any type of tuning other than using super chips controller on my old RAM.

    Just loaded it last night. Keep in mind i have 4.88 gearing with 265/75/16 tires.
    First i tried LT, gas pedal was way to touchy but the power was amazing. next i went to SLT. slightly better but still way to touchy for my liking. rear wheels would screech at the slightest tap of the pedal. I am currently on wife tip and i think it's perfect. the truck GOES when you need it. no issues with flashing. i'm excited to get the ECU learning vales balanced. Pretty happy so far!
