Pure laziness and the tiny % chance the HOA whines that I'm doing car repairs in the driveway (leaving everything together makes it easier to hide).

To get my LCA bushings changed is had unbolt the steering rack from the frame and the PS lines from the frame.

I would bet it’d take waaay long to try and swap the bushings under the truck than to take them out and do it.

if you really wanted to save time you’d find a spare set of LCAs someone has laying around and swap the bushings on them.

I know you have to move the steering rack to get the bolts out (I actually flipped mine so you don't anymore but it eats the boot)...after that though..

...guess I'll just take them out

I'm thinking next time around, I won't fully seat per the FSM and will leave it just a bit less than required?

Doesn't sound like a hard job, just more shit added to the pile of stuff I've already been putting off for too long

Don't ask me I haven't been able to do it right yet either lol.

Although theoretically according to some that should work, other guys on here have let the axle push it in as far as it needs to go and apparently it works. Didn't for me though. But it may have gotten damaged by it.

Shit if you could come down here for a mod weekend I'm sure we could knock a bunch of stuff out. My driveway sucks but it's better than no driveway.

I really gotta get at least a couple things done before the LT trip end of next month.

    Interesting.

I may be tempted to replace my cv axle as well and toss in my good OEM one on the side I replace the cv axle seal with while I'm at it.

Looking at my calender, the weekend of the 24th/25th/26th would be best.

Stephanie and her sister have a concert they're going to that Saturday.
