'clank' might be a better descriptive term. It's a sound like metal tapping metal real quick when going on/off the gas. I replaced the CB about 6 months ago with an OEM one because the original had a destroyed bushing. It didn't make any noise when bad but it made the truck vibrate pretty bad on the highway.

 

I wouldn't trade the taco and runner IFS out for a solid axle on leafs, or on links really. The IFS is pretty bomb when done up right.

The missus was telling me about some offroad simulator game she saw that was crazy realistic.. was excited to share it with me so I could share it with you guys. No that's a ton of work on your truck I would probably sell it axle swap but to be honest I wouldn't put myself in a position of owning your truck in the first place.
