Is there a T4R conversion harness available yet?

Shouldn't need one. The 2021 LED part numbers say they're compatible with 2014+

I think that might be misleading. Compatible, yes, if it’s got the right OEM wiring.

It’d be great if I was wrong and they’re a direct swap.

Pretty sure they are a direct swap, at least for the low beam LED only units. I can check this evening. The T4R halogen low beam has an aux harness to connect to the bulb plug, since the bulb is fully enclosed inside the assembly. The harness then wraps under the assembly to a non-bulb style connector at the base of the assembly. I believe the low beam connector is the same regardless of halogen or LED. Unknown on the LED high beam units, since the halogen high beams have a standard 9005 connector directly to the bulb, which seems like it may be changed for the LED high beam.

Up here, we have 3 months of summer followed by 9 months of bad snow shoeing.

From what I understand of trying to get this conversion harness going for the full LED T4R, vehicle harness high beam input via 9005 male, vehicle harness low beam input via the connector I don't have (also would be male, female shows as part number 11255) and then the headlights themselves are fed to a male 10941 (which happens to be a match to the 3rd gen Tacoma license plate intercept) via female which would be 10942. Now, none of this is tested and working yet so consider it 100% speculation at this point.

Well, the halogen and LED low beam connectors are not the same on the 4Runner. The LED unit uses a larger connector with what I would speculate optionally has 4 pins to support an LED high beam, even though my units just have 2 pins (non led high beam). The halogen low beam connector only supports 2 pins.

T4R halogen low beam plug top, LED plug bottom:

You have me wondering if I could simply de-pin the connector and install the newer one..

Seems like it would be feasible.

AFAIK both 090II sealed so de-pin and re-pin would work fine but the hb3 males obviously won't go into the 4 position connector.

@Spike Spiegel as of today I now believe I am in possession of 4 of each connector needed to transform T4R to OEM LED.

Let me get the original recipient to confirm 100% a-ok. I screwed up the first prototype b/c I was confused by his photos and instructions. Once he says good I will hit you up. Probably not a big wait but at least a week. Building stuff to ship and then realize you screwed up is quite challenging sometimes, but once I have a known good template on file then we are in business.

So does that mean you’re coming for the headlights?

Already spent the fun fund for the month on some new blasters so we shall see. @Too Stroked has given me a very generous offer so I'll see what I can do

What about the connectors to go the other way? For people with 21+ trucks that are looking for that retro halogen feel. :D

Specifically for the 4Runner halogens, you mean that "I can't see crap" feel?

Finding good quality H9 females took some real work. I haven’t looked into sourcing 9005 female yet. That could be a bit of a challenge too. The other connectors are no problem though.

(Both of these are the tungsram halogens)

The colour doesn't look too different from stock but it has been awhile since I've had them in. I was expecting to be blown away but I'm not sure I am. I might see a little more than the Hikari's but they seem close to me. I don't know, I'm just a guy. Empirical data doesn't lie but my eyes do
