For the BST forum, what is the safest way to send money to a seller? Thank you for your time.

If you're worried you can make them send a paypal invoice...
If you pay with friends/family, paypal won't help if there's a problem.

PayPal regular payment is the only recourse payment that I’m aware of. I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong

do Paypal but NOT friends and family. and make sure whatever credit card is linked to your PP account has a good online purchase policy so if PP gives you any crap about refunds or canceling you have your CC as a fall back.
we've had a lot of scammers hit the site in recent months so if a deal seems too good to be true it probably is. and you can always reach out to any of the staff here if you have any concerns.

If you want to test how long it takes to send cash via the U.S. Mail go ahead and mail me say $1,000 in untraceable bills.

I'll let you know when it got here.

    Send it to:
    Prince Abudula
    100 ANKOLE WAY

Ive never had a problem sending money through Paypal but I typically meet them in person to make the exchange. That said when I sell stuff, I only accept friends/family unless the buyer is willing to cover the service fee.

It's easy for people to sit here and say don't use friends and family but they arent the ones fronting the cost. If people don't cover that cost I simply reject their payment

All good suggestions. The safest way is PayPal G&S. Just make sure the terms are clear between you and the seller for who pays the fee. 3% is a small price to pay if you want to cover your ass.

One thing I always consider is the seller’s activity here. Generally I have a little more trust for someone that’s been a regular contributor on here and been a member for a while even if it’s someone that I haven’t dealt with directly. If a seller has a relatively new account and the item being sold is a high dollar item, then I’d have the same reservations as I would with Craigslist and the like. You can always see someone’s activity including past “for sale” threads they’ve made through their profile link.

I only use Paypal, and I'll echo the part about not paying friends/family. @MTgirl said it best. Done a few deals on here and no problems whatsoever.

Depending upon where the item and you are located, perhaps a fellow member can help with transporting.
