    I saw the sign for gros venture but we didn’t ride in there and check it out. But we did see moose elk and pronghorn but we never spotted any bear. Another fisherman I ran into one of the days I was fishing the snake assured me we were in bear territory but no luck seeing one.

    Gros Ventre is pretty central to where I like to be so that's my go to camp. Not the fanciest camp but its more about location for me. Jenny Lake camp was a fav when I was a tenter but its gotten busy and my camper wouldn't be allowed in there so I can't go there anymore.
    Bears can be tricky but Grizzly 399 and her FOUR cubs have been making quite a show this summer. You must have just missed out.

    I know. Just givin ya the business. we had a great stay and really did miss all the crowds. Up at the ass crack and gone then hiked obscure trails. Went back out after dinner most nights and popular areas were all ours. Loved going out after a quick rain ran everyone away too!

    we stayed in Gros Venture a few years ago, very nice for a Campground (we would prefer dispersed, but sometimes you just gotta camp regular…
